~Ao Lele~ Flying Cloud of Kīlauea
Description
Tucked high in emerald treetops, on the forested slopes of Kīlauea Volcano, a cedar cabin outlooks the native rain forest 1.4 miles (2.2km) from Nāhuku (the lava tube) in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. This sojourn allows one a presence with the environment, to embark on adventures around the island, and be at ease afterward. Your occasional companions include moonlit mist-laden trades, the subtle glow of the Milky Way, and peaceful morning light as melodic birds dart about the lanai. The space An alluring and thought-provoking hop to the misty mountain, from Hilo or Kona, will bring you to the edge of a lush and verdant rain forest where the cabin dwells. Follow a stairway to the west lanai, then passage to the entry, kitchen and living space. A second flight leads high aloft to a king bed, and 180° musings of forest and sky. Other things to note The tree top cabin is uniquely perched on the edge of a natural area reserve. Our small community works together to remove non-native and invasive plants such as ginger, and allow visitors to experience the native rain forest habitat. Your visit allows us to continue this endeavor. Cabins are get-aways. As such, reading, hiking and being in a rain forest with all of its moods are what we share here. Internet/Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are provided but you will find no TV. You will find a place to connect or chill, a nearby pub, dining, books, peace, a kitchen to thoughtfully prepare food, conversation or... just enjoy a soak in the claw foot tub~ TA registration #: TA-184-998-1952-01
