With the screened in porch you can enjoy the outdoors without the mosquitoes. It has everything you need for a short or long term stay. Walk to town, movie theater, groceries,etc. Near Waipio Valley, Pack N Play & Umbroller available upon request. The space The fully equipped kitchen has a hot plate,no stove/oven, toaster oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, electric skillet, etc. Free WiFi, excellent location, between Hilo and Kona,best climate on the island, no vog. Walk up to town, daily farmers market on the corner. Washer/dryer, ironing board, iron in laundry room in separate builing shared with Blue Cottage. Private, easy to find. You can walk up to town or a short drive to Waipio Valley, an hour to Hilo and 1 hour 45 minutes to Kona. The famous Akaka Falls is about 20-25 minutes away. The Green studio cottage has a queen size bed and fold out futon sofa, table & 4 chairs. The bathroom has a tub with shower. There is a ceiling fan. Air conditioner usually not necessary. There is an on demand water heater. The switch is on the wall near the bathroom door. You will get all the hot water you need in 10 minutes. Washer and dryer are shared by two cottages and are located in a separate building. Feel free to pick fruit when in season. This in not a B&B, no food provided. There are a few essentials like salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee. There might be other items left by previous guests. There is a Smart HDTV with FREE wireless internet you can use your Netflix, Amazon or other account to view movies, TV shows, etc. Also some DVD are available. We live on the mainland but are always available by phone & email. If necessary, our local handyman and/or housekeeper can handle urgent needs. Quiet hours are from 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., during which time the noise should not unreasonably disturb the neighbors. Sound that is audible beyond the property boundaries during non-quiet hours shall not be more excessive than would be otherwise associated with a residential area. Guest vehicles shall be parked in the designated onsite parking area. This rental shall not be used for commercial purposes Honokaa is a quaint town with a historic theater that not only shows movies but has live performances. It also serves great sandwiches, tea, coffee, etc. From the cottage you can walk to the farmers market on the corner and numerous shops and restaurants. There is a library and a public pool also. The people are wonderful, very friendly. If you don't have a car, for $2 you can take the bus to Kona or Hilo. Bicycle rentals are available in town and various tours can be arranged. Please don't feed the fish in the Koi pond. Coqui frogs do make noise at night. Guest access Guests have the cottage and one parking space. The laundry room is shared with the other cottage. There is an iron and ironing board in the laundry. Please provide your own detergent and fabric softener. Other things to note Please don't feed the stray cat.
