Four miles from the ocean and 1/2 mile from the main highway. 15 minutes from Uncle Roberts evening market, 20 minutes to Kehana Black Sand Beach, 30 minutes to Issac Hale Park (Pohiki), 45 minutes from Volcano National Park, and 30 minutes from Hilo airport, 5 minutes from Pahoa Village, and 10 minutes to Pahoa's Sunday Farmer's Market (Maku'u Market). Price reflects the total price including state tax and local transient taxes NOTE: Coqui Frogs, an invasive species, were accidentally introduced to the Big Island in the late 1980’s. The distinctive “KO-kee” call that gives the frog its name can can be very loud and disruptive for residents in infested areas at night time. The males will call from dusk to dawn to ward off competitors and attract a mate. In the morning, the frogs retreat to the ground and look for moist, shady areas to spend the day.
