Welcome to Blue Water Cottage. Beautiful , Pond Front Renovated Home abutting conservation land. Fresh water swimming. Short drive to beaches, dining, downtown, ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Cannot alter checkin/out. No AC. No ramps or railings to outside entry. Bath on 1st floor Guests have a double bed on the second floor bedroom and use of the TV room in the basement. There is a kitchenette with a microwave, small refrigerator, coffee and tea maker. Breakfast snacks, tea and coffee. No sink. Four skylights, a couch and chair and dehumidifier make this space cozy, private and comfortable. Fan are provided for cooling. Sorry no AC available. The private bathroom is on the first floor flight of stairs on the first floor one flight up or down Come relax and enjoy! Please bring your own mask whenever possible. Vaccinated guests as I have cancer. No pets allowed as I have two cats. Bring slippers :-) as outdoor shoes stay at the front hallway entry door. Use of patio outdoor space (not deck around tree) and Airbnb designated indoor space. There is no railing or ramp to enter the 2 steps leading into the house. Stairs to the upstairs bedroom and TV room downstairs The bathroom is on the first floor. Everything is described accurately in the listing. So if you accept my Airbnb you've agreed to everything . Not suitable for children. Check in between 4 -9 pm checkout prior to 10 am. no exceptions. Guests have a private bathroom on the first floor (to the right when you enter) and the 2nd floor bedroom and basement TV room. You also have access to the outdoor shared patio, furniture front and back of the house. Feel free to bring your own kayak, snorkels, SUP, bicycle and pond floats. No motors allowed on the pond. For those who love to fish you can go across the pond to the conservation area where large bass lay in the 30 foot deep area. This is a Kettle Pond created by a melting glacier. The water is crystal clear. No fishing at my pond front - we love to snorkel and see the fish and turtles :-)And natural sunscreen only and no urinating in the pond. We keep it healthy and clean with these rule I am happy to interact and stay socially distant with PPE, As i have cancer, or let you enjoy your stay without my company. The pond, nature, bird sanctuary, walking trails, bicycle trail and the warmer bay front beaches. Short drive to South Cape Beach in Mashpee a lovely beach with miles of beach front for walking, swimming and relaxing. Falmouth has many beaches to explore. Menahant is close by. I am set back 100 feet from a busy secondary road that quiets down after 7 p.m. I have two mirrors across the driveway on a guardrail to assist with exiting my driveway. The Falmouth bus system is very good - the closest bus stop under a mile. Or drive along the beautiful seashore starting on central Ave take a right and follow the sea bicycle the shining sea bike path stop at the knob for a walk and swim and a stroll at sphores gardens there are several bicycle shop rentals nearby. I recommend Arts or the Bike Zone at the 151/28A exit Depot Road. Downtown is The Corner Bike Shop. I highly recommend the Island Queen ferry. No cars takes passengers and bicycles. Takes you to Oak Bluffs. Another great ferry is The Edgartown Ferry takes you right to downtown Edgartown. There's always the Martha's Vineyard ferry in Woods Hole. More crowded and hurried vs the other two locations. Breakfast favorites the Moonakis, MaryEllens, Betsy's Diner and Brewed Awakenings, Black Dog, Woods Hole Market as well as the Coffee Connection. Dining many waterfront favorites from the Sopranos outdoor deck for lunch and the Flying Bridge, Boat House and the Raw Bar. Casual fun the Clam Shack. Sweetrice for an Asian treat All these near the two ferries. It makes me happy to have happy guests and I do whatever possible to make your stay at Blue Water Cottage exceptional.
