Description

9th floor ocean view condo with beachfront. Views of Lanai, Molokai and sunsets. Swimming beach and pool. Located on dry side of Maui. Royal Kahana. The space The highlight of this condo is the view. The Lanai has a direct view over the ocean and you can see for miles. Molokai and Lanai islands are visible from the property. The condo faces west, so sunsets are always on the menu. Light rain is welcome because it brings rainbows frequently near sunrise and sunset. The condo has plenty of room and has comfortable beds. We provide everything you need for a comfortable stay. Grills are by the pool. Kitchen has Grill utensils, blender for drinks, coffee maker, knives, plates, wine glasses. We provide some laundry detergent (to get you started). We provide beach towels. We have two sets of binoculars to spot wildlife from the lanai. We have a Maui guidebook, a speaking Hawaiian book, and a snorkeling location guide. High Speed Internet access is available in the condo and we have cable TV and a phone for local calls. Guest access Guests have access to parking ($10+tax/per nite paid to the resort, not us), the pool, the beach, chairs on the grounds, and the exercise room. Other things to note The condo is a great value you are getting an amazing view, a beach, a fully stocked kitchen and recently remodeled space. Kahana area is better than Kihei area because there is less wind in the afternoon and it is not loaded with strip malls. Whale season is from December to early April but can vary. This is the highlight of Maui. Humpback whales can be seen from the Lanai if you know how to spot the spouts and use the binoculars. Whale watching tours are the best way to see them closer. Maui is my favorite place in the world. It has a huge variety of activities. There is more to do than can ever be done in one trip. Activities are all over the island and many right where we are located. If you have two weeks I recommend splitting your trip in two locations to try and get the most out of it. You can get everywhere in one day from our location but may be a long drive. Especially the road to Hana in winter due to the number of people on the narrow road. It is worth the visit but I do recommend 1-2 night stay near Hana to avoid having to rush this portion. Maui has top beaches of the world, awe inspiring waterfalls, clear water for scuba diving and snorkeling, Polynesian culture, few if any biting insects, many rainbows due to the frequent rain in the afternoon, lava rock since it is the second youngest island, many species of plants and animals found no where else in the world, warm climate and scenic views at every turn. This is true paradise if you really try and experience it. Don't expect perfection on any trip but take the time to realize the moments of magic when they appear. One memory experience on Maui was swimming off of black rock point. The water was crystal clear. I looked around underwater, I saw turtles and people, and seemed suspended in space because of the clear water (not guaranteed). I looked up and saw a rainbow just behind the beach. The people on the beach could not see it, only those swimming in the water. It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. I am happy to provide suggestions and assistance in finding things to do. Maui has great water clarity and scuba diving is top notch. Snorkeling spots are all over the area and turtles are easy to find at many spots near the condo. We have been on VRBO for several years and have more reviews there. We are trying Airbnb now. The ocean is a wonderful place for activities but you must be careful as Maui can bring large waves on some beaches. The beach on the property is one of the more calm ones on Maui. If it rains during your visit remember that can bring rainbows and it will feed the waterfalls. The island has many wonderful waterfalls to visit and great hiking. All beaches are public and have some public access so you are not ever limited to one location. In fact, I encourage you to explore as each beach has a unique aspect and there are so many. Some close ones I recommend are of course Kahana at our place, Ka anapali (snorkeling at black rock point, Napili, and Honolua bay (snorkeling). Further away I recommend a stop at Makena in the south and several beaches along the road to Hana, and snorkeling scuba diving Molokini crater. There are also ferries and tours from Lahaina to Lanai and Molokai. Registration Details 243010007017, TA-138-404-2496-01
