Everything inside the condo is brand new! It is one of the only units with a DOUBLE LANAI (outdoor deck area). The double lanai has an incredible ocean view and can be accessed through both the bedroom and the living room. The lanai is lit for evening use and seats 2 for dining plus offers a separate area with 2 comfy lounge chairs and cushioned ottomans for relaxing while taking in the awesome sunset striped skies and fantastic ocean views. ;) You can also see the ocean from the bedroom, the kitchen, the living room, and even from the comfort of your California King sized bed. ;) ~ Your fully equipped, heavily stocked kitchen has all new, stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher which can be a rarity for Maui vacation rentals). You will also experience beautiful, solid wood, custom cabinetry, under cabinet lighting, chipped marble backsplash, plenty of built in storage space for all of your household items, and stunning quartz counter tops that sparkle in the Maui sun. There is also a large, quartz breakfast bar with 4 comfortable barstools and the same chipped marble backsplash. Once inside, you will find a microwave, lots of cookware, a coffee maker, a Ninja blender, a toaster, a rice maker, a whistling teakettle, an assortment of knives, Tupperware, platters, bakeware, and even a variety of BBQ accessories. In addition, basic supplies like an assortment of hot teas, salt, pepper, other spices, and coffee filters can all be found on site. There is plenty of space for all of your belongings as well as an incredible ocean view. The bedroom also has its own air conditioning unit and easy access to the beautiful, private lanai (outdoor seating area) with ocean and palm tree views. ~ Stunning, reclaimed, "distressed wood style" flooring throughout gives it a spacious “clean" feeling and allows for extra quick and super easy maintenance. The smooth flooring definitely adds a Maui beach vibe to the space. There is a California King bed and a Full sized sofa sleeper. Both beds offer very expensive and advanced zippered allergen barriers (mattress and/or boxspring fabric encasements) that are 100% pesticide and chemical free and offer 100% protection against bed bugs, pollen, and dust mites. In addition, both our beds are equipped with HIGH thread count linens. ~ Please note, there is an additional charge of $30 (per person, per day) if there are more than 2 guests staying in the condo. ~ We are happy to offer super easy and "lightning fast" check in. Flight delays and/or late arrivals or really early departures are never a problem when you book a stay at BEAUTY & THE BEACH. ~ We happily stock AMPLE dish soap, garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, Qtips, cotton balls, coffee filters, tea, and hand soap. In addition, we provide "starter kit" supplies in the bathroom and the main kitchen. Upon arrival, you will find 2 fresh rolls of toilet paper and 1 fresh roll of paper towels for the kitchen. This will be enough to get you "started". Our goal by providing "starter kits" for household paper products is to prevent the necessity for you to have to shop for these items during your first couple of days in paradise; after all, you are on vacation. There is also a "Pay It Forward" shelf where guests are welcome to leave their unused, non-perishable grocery items. ~ We are also happy to provide useful items like an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer 4 beach chairs, a cooler, beach towels, a beach bag, yoga mats, a beach umbrella, and even a luggage rack. ~ We also offer free WIFI and totally free parking. ~ The condo is located right in the heart of South Kihei in the very popular and classic Island Surf Building which sits on 1.5 acres of pristine Maui real estate. This popular complex is just a couple blocks away from the well known Charley Young Beach and is DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET from the world famous Kalama Beach Park. These are arguably two of South Maui's BEST water activity beaches and serve as the perfect pivoting point for all of your wonderful Maui activities and adventures. **Guests have access to a HEATED SWIMMING POOL on the roof of the second floor with incredible views looking out towards the ocean. Heated pools in Maui are very rare, reserved mainly for super high-end resorts, so this is a real treat! Copyright exists..... The Hawaii State Legislature recently passed Senate Bill 1396 which will increase the mandatory transient accommodation taxes by .75% beginning on January 1, 2026. Unfortunately, there is not a way to charge for this .75% increase in tax until 01/01/2026. Therefore, any travelers who book in 2025 for travel dates in 2026 understand and agree to pay the .75% difference in taxes, as well as any applicable site processing fees, shortly after January 1, 2026. A request for the extra fees will be sent via this platform and processed through the Resolution Center. Please note that this .75% difference in taxes only applies to bookings that will take place in 2026. Guest access The HEATED SWIMMING POOL and bbq grills are on the 2nd floor. You will need a key to access the area. The key is hanging inside the condo on the hook by the front door. Please return this key when you depart. We offer beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, and a cooler. Due to Covid and other infectious diseases, we are not providing any snorkel equipment at this time as we believe it is a hygiene issue, especially since there is a mouthpiece. Kihei Food Oasis at South Maui Gardens is directly next door. There are lots of food trucks there, and they are open 7 days a week from 11am to 8pm with live music every Saturday. Other things to note Due to our property cleaners’ schedules and our regularly scheduled condo maintenance items, early check-ins and late checkouts cannot be accommodated at this time. Almost all of our bookings are back to back (same day in, same day out) which makes things trickier. If you have a late flight out or an early flight in, we highly recommend that you consider booking an extra night if it’s available to better accommodate your flight schedule if you want to arrive early or depart late.
