This one-bedroom apartment with an ocean view is the perfect space for you to relax and unwind after a day of fun! It has it’s own private entry and includes a queen bed, a sofa bed, a fridge, a microwave, a cooktop, A shared washer/dryer and BBQ grill! Our home sits at a cool 1300' elevation with stunning sunsets. For our fellow adventurers, It’s only 10 minutes from Keauhou Bay, 15 minutes from Kona town to the North or 2 Step snorkeling to the South. South Kona has the advantage of being cool and casual while still accessible to enjoy everything Kona town has to offer. Just a short drive down the bypass road brings you to Ali'i Drive and some great surfing and snorkeling at Kahalu'u and Magic Sands beaches. You'll never get tired of these sunsets, either. Travel nurses will love its proximity to the hospital and our vacationers will love the charming Kainaliu shops and Gypsea gelato! This is an apartment on the bottom level of our home. Guests love the privacy they feel in this accommodation. Staying here, you will have your own private apartment and space in your home away from home. You will have a lanai to enjoy coffee or cocktails. Our goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible. A parking spot for one car is available for you in the driveway. Please note that there are several private residences on the property and it is under video surveillance outside. It’s easiest to get ahold of us using the Airbnb app. Bring plenty of water and a spirit of adventure for the Captain Cook monument trail for a challenging and beautiful hike, some people even choose to pack some snorkel gear for a dip once they get to the bottom. Head a 15 minutes South the the sacred City of Refuge and while you're there, also enjoy a couple of hours at Two Step for some snorkeling(ask us about some snorkeling gear if you didn't bring yours along). We are only 15 minutes from the heart of Kona Town where you can find beachfront dining and endless shopping. Grocery store: There’s a KTA grocery store conveniently located up the hill and to the South only a 1/2 mile. We recommend renting a car to get around. The airport is 17 miles to the north but Uber, Lyft, and Taxi's do not come this far south to pick you up. There is a lovely park just a few minutes walk down the hill. There is no smoking allowed on the property, if you need to smoke, we request that you do so down by the street. Sorry, this home is not suitable for pets or service animals due to our rescue dog. Luna loves people but not other animals. The kitty recently adopted us after a lovely couple fell in love with her and named her WaiKitty, but had to return home to the mainland. She is very friendly but please don’t allow her in the apartment or feed her, we feed her upstairs. The property outside is under video surveillance. No more than your allotted number of guests will be allowed for your stay, and you may be asked to vacate and forfeit all fees in the event of non-adherence to listed guest rules.
