Welcome to Camp Brighton Coastal. Relax in our recently renovated beach cottage just a few minutes walk to three different beaches. Salty air, beautiful views, and an adorable seaside town awaits! We rent out our home when we are away or traveling. We hope you love it as much as we do. Our cottage is perfect in fall and spring for wedding guests or a relaxing beach getaway with friends or family. Walking distance to the yacht club and the Barker. Quaint Scituate Harbor is about 1 mile away. Guests love our updated kitchen, spacious back deck, and casual three season room surrounded by windows and a fresh ocean breeze. Our house is a cute 1 1/2 story house with two bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom down and a full bathroom on each floor. A fan is usually all you need to stay comfortable, but the upstairs bunk room does have A/C to keep guests cool on really hot days. The downstairs has a comfortable three season room perfect for playing cards, drinking wine, or reading a book. When the weather is nice, we leave all the windows open to feel the beautiful sea breeze. The fireplace room has a large dining table with seating for 6 to 8 - our kids love the large comfy banquette under the big picture window and the adults tend to gravitate toward the four dining chairs. If you just want to sit and read a book or peruse the news, there are comfy chairs dotted throughout the space. In the kitchen, the kitchen island is comfortable for small meals, morning coffee, or just hanging out while preparing dinner. We have tried to stock the kitchen with everything you might need to prepare any meal. We have a four slice toaster with one side dedicated to our gluten-free guests. We also have a beautiful Kitchen-Aid stand mixer if you have the urge to bake cookies. If you feel like cooking dinner, we have an Instant Pot that also works as a slow cooker, and a five burner gas range with plenty of pots and pans. We have a 12 cup automatic coffee pot with plenty of coffee filters as well as a coffee grinder and a French Press for those of you who prefer your coffee a little stronger. The downstairs also has one bedroom with two twin beds and a sitting room with a pullout couch leading through double glass doors to the cozy, but spacious, family room. The family room has a large, comfortable sectional perfect for watching movies on Netflix or Amazon Prime. - Fully equipped kitchen. Coffee pot, coffee grinder, French press, Instant Pot, Slow Cooker, KitchenAid Stand Mixer, electric kettle, pots and pans. - Beds are all made up with fresh linens. Extras are in the closet. Plenty of bath and beach towels. - Washer and dryer are upstairs and easy to use. Ironing board and iron, drying rack, hair dryer, all provided. - Walk out the back sliding doors to a comfortable deck with a dining table with seating for 6 to 8 and a Weber grill overlooking a small backyard. The perfect space for kids to play! - Driveway parks four cars, extra parking a few houses away in open lot. Contact me via text or phone with any questions or concerns! Our cottage is located in the Sand Hills neighborhood of Scituate. This very friendly neighborhood is home to many year-round residents and a handful of summer dwellers. As a Scituate native, this is one of my favorite parts of our town. An easy walk to the beach, lighthouse, coffee, movie theater, and restaurants - perfect for adults and kids. Scituate is easiest to get around with a car, but if you don’t have a car, you can take the Greenbush Commuter Line from Boston or hire a car service that can get you from the airport to Scituate. In the summer, Uber and Lyft are more common and can get you most places pretty easily. In the off season, you might have to wait a little bit longer for a ride. For groceries, Whole Foods delivers same day through the Amazon Prime Now app and Stop and Shop has an awesome selection of food and makes next day deliveries. Why waste precious vacation time at the grocery store? We are close to Boston via the commuter rail (Greenbush line) or the commuter boat from Hingham or Hull to the airport or Rowe’s Wharf - a very fun day trip! The commuter boat brings you right to the Aquarium. Plymouth and Cape Cod are also a short drive away. Camp Brighton Coastal is the perfect blend of being a little bit off the beaten path, but with easy access to all the amenities you might need while away from home.
