Our lovely and spacious Montana home is located in the country, 15 minutes from Bozeman, and close to hiking, skiing, and other outdoor recreational activities. This 3rd floor room has a private balcony and bathroom. Our home is in a country setting just southwest of Bozeman. Quiet and beautiful, we sit on 20 acres with a pond and creek. It's a perfect place to stay if you're in town for outdoor activities, on your way to Yellowstone National Park, or just want to feel like you're “out in the country." The large room has a queen-size bed, a large desk, a closet and dresser, and the private bathroom is a few steps away. A private balcony faces the Bridger Mountains to the north. This is a very quiet, comfortable living space. We're 25 minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from downtown Bozeman, and 10 minutes from MSU. Hyalite Canyon and reservoir, home of hiking, boating, picnicking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing are a beautiful 30-minute drive from our home. Cross-country skiing is possible right outside the back door. Other nearby local attractions include the Museum of the Rockies and Bozeman Hot Springs, and blue-ribbon fly fishing streams are within shouting distance. Bridger Bowl and Big Sky/Moonlight ski areas are about an hour away. Further down the road, Yellowstone National Park's north and west entrances are 90-mile drives, and Grand Teton National Park lies just south of Yellowstone. Glacier National Park is approximately 6 hours to the north. This room is on the third floor, so you must be able to climb stairs. Another room with a twin bed and sink is also available on the third floor for an additional $25/night. Free Wi-Fi is available to guests, as are a washer and dryer. The porch on the north side of the house provides the perfect spot to drink your morning coffee while taking in the panoramic view of the Bridger Mountains. Our house is a four-level, five-bedroom, five-bathroom residence, and you will be sharing the home with two people, one dog, three cats, and possibly other Airbnb guests. The owners are friendly, easygoing, and avid outdoor lovers with knowledge of the area; the dog is friendly and goofy; the cats are friendly but generally make themselves scarce when visitors are around. We would be happy to provide you with recommendations for activities, restaurants, and places to see in the area and beyond. We will be home when you get here to help you settle in, but after that, we try to stay out of your hair. We work from home so we're around most of the time if you need anything. Otherwise, we encourage you to come and go as you please. We do ask, however, that you not leave the house or return late at night because we, and often other guests, are usually asleep by 10:30. This is a quiet and scenic location at the end of a half-mile long private gravel drive. There is very little traffic, and virtually no traffic or city noise. You can enjoy the sounds of nature at night, and with no street lights in the area the night sky is dark, velvety and loaded with stars. We are located in the country about 15 minutes from downtown Bozeman, so you will need your own transportation to and from the home. Car rental services are available at the airport in Belgrade (about 25 minutes away) and, although rarely used, taxis and Uber are also available. Check-in is from 3 pm to 9 pm,and check-out is at 11 am. Because we live on the property and there are neighbors nearby, we ask that you be respectful about noise levels at all times. If you plan to stay out late at night this is not the best choice for an accommodation as we prefer that guests not come and go later than 10:00 at night. Such late arrivals are very disruptive to us, other guests, and the neighbors. Miscellaneous bathroom items like toothpaste, tooth brushes, shampoo, and conditioner are available. The bathroom is also equipped with a hair dryer. There is parking available for larger vehicles like motor homes and boats. Please advise if you are traveling with a large RV, boat, trailer, or other larger transport. Smoking is allowed outside only. Please ask for an ashtray.
