Description
Our little cottage is a relaxing getaway, but still close to Volcanoes National Park, the Thursday night market in the village of Volcano and other areas of interest. The space Hale Manu (Hawaiian for " Bird House"), is an A-frame home, a cozy nest for just the two of you! Located on a dead-end street in Volcano Village, this house offers you privacy, quiet and yet close proximity to Volcanoes National Park which is only 6 minutes away. Because we were taken with how much the cottage looks like a birdhouse from the outside, we have decorated completely in a bird theme, including our feathery friends in the chandelier which was handmade in Estonia. Of course, all birdcages have newspaper on the bottom so check out the flooring in the living room. Read the headlines from all of the different newspapers and you'll even find the local Hilo Tribune reporting on an eruption at our neighboring Hawaii Volcanoes National Park! Guest access The entire house is yours. Large front and back lanais allow you a peaceful place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast, read, relax and enjoy the quiet of the woods. As an added attraction, you will hear the many Hawaiian birds singing. Relax in our cozy living room with a glass of wine while enjoying the warmth of our wall fireplace. Sleeping in the loft, feel like you're in the trees with the birds, with beautiful woodsy views upon waking. After a full day of sightseeing, prepare a romantic dinner in our fully equipped kitchen and eat at our Parisian style bistro table for two while listening to soothing music through our blue tooth speaker. As an added bit of romance, be sure to step outside to gaze at the stars, as well as from the loft bed. Beautiful! Other things to note Bring warm clothes. Volcano gets chilly at night. This area of Hawaii relies on rainwater and while the water is potable, you might prefer bottled. You may want to purchase water, snacks or food in Kona or Hilo as the two small groceries in Volcano have limited choices. Because we are on catchment, we ask that you conserve water as much as possible. Registration Details STVR-19-366294NUC-19-1919GE/TA-067-527-6800-01
