Private Hawaiian plantation style Private bedroom is in a Historic building on the main strip of Historic Honokaa Town. Only a 1 min walk to town with restaurants, pub, shops and grocery stores and markets. Free Wifi, smart TV, and free parking. The house is north making it easy to travel to either side of the island to Kona or Hilo. Plus Waipio Valley is only 10 mins away with black sand beaches & waterfalls! It's the 2nd most visited spot. Adults over 18 only. The Hawaiin complex has a total of 5 bedrooms. They all are private with a keyless lock so you can check in at your convenience from 3pm-9pm, all you need is a code to get in. The Hamakua private room labeled #1 room, is in located in the 3 bedroom house section of the Hawaiian Complex, you punch in the code and the key will be hanging by the bedroom door for added security. The house has thin walls so if you are a light sleeper we have ear plugs. The house has a 48 inch TV in the shared living room and seating area. When you walk out your room there's the shared living room then out of the house you have an outside open air walk way outside about 5 steps with koi pond and garden connecting to the 2 shared bathrooms, shared full kitchen with stove oven, coffeemaker, pots pans dishes etc. The walls are thin so if you are a light sleeper I recommend the Mauna kea Room which has it’s own direct entrance to room or the Waipio on the opposite end of the complex and direct entrance to room. The outside walk way is designed for good energy and feng shui plus it's away from the sleeping area making it's more quiet. You get to enjoy the original historic plantation style home, truly one of a kind. This is the reason why I fell in love with the property, you don't get to experience these style of home anymore. There are tables and lounge chair for sun tanning right next to the bananas and coconut trees.On property there's also Mac nuts trees, tangerines, soursop and lychee, you get to really experience Hawaii! Please park at the guest parking, or side of the house, there's also free parking on the street! This room is med sized, most guest love this room because it's cheaper and half the price of a hotel. Plus most of the time guests are out sight seeing and would rather save the money. If you want a larger room try our Master bedroom, Mauna Kea Room, or Waipio Studio in the same complex they have their own entrance. Please take a look at our photos so you are clear on what you are booking. I also have my uncle living on property if you have any questions. Please make sure you know what room you booked when you check in. We are also next to the police and fire station, maybe once every 4 months they might have a call where you hear their intercom at night, however you will feel extra safe with them next door. Because the house is a shared space it is Adults only over the age of 18, it's not suitable for Children or infants. Because of the stairs it is also not wheel chair friendly. Kitchen and bathrooms are at the other end of the bedrooms making it quite for sleeping. The Hawaiian complex has a 3 bedroom house that is connected to 2 separate studios with their own entrance, a total of 5 bedrooms. You can book the whole house if you like for the whole family. Free pool across the street! Free parking in one of the guest parking stalls. Come visit my shave ice shop in front of the building and tell them you are my renter and they will give you free toping or ice cream with your shave ice! I'm fast at responding to guests if you have any questions during your stay! This listing is on the Main strip of Historic Honokaa town, you can walk to all the shops, restaurants and pub! It's only 10 mins from Waipio Valley where there's waterfalls and black sand beach! Plus we are central which makes it easy to go to Kona or Hilo and back! Also makes it easy to go to Mauna kea and the white sand beaches on the east side! There's public transportation however we recommend a Car rental is recommended since big island is big! However our guests love that we are north central only 15 mins to Waipio valley the second most visited spot and being north you can go either side of the island to Kona or Hilo! We work our best keeping the property clean, however it is inevitable that we may miss something as we have 12 rentals.
