Private Hawaiian plantation-style bedroom in a historic building on the main strip of Honokaʻa Town, just a 1-min walk to restaurants, pubs, shops, grocery stores & markets. Enjoy free Wi-Fi, parking, and a smart TV. The house’s central location makes it easy to travel to either side of the island, Kona or Hilo. Waipiʻo Valley (Hawaii's 2nd most visited spot) is only 10-min away with stunning black sand beaches, waterfalls & hiking trails. The space The building features five private bedrooms. The Hamakua private room (#1) is located in the three-bedroom section; simply enter the code, and you’ll find a key hanging by the door for added security. This cozy room (Size: 110 sq. ft. (10 sq. m.) is budget-friendly, typically half the price of a hotel room. For larger accommodations, consider the Master Bedroom, Mauna Kea Room, or Waipio Studio. Mauna Kea Room and Waipio Studio each have their own private entrance. Please Note: The walls are thin, so light sleepers may want to use the complimentary earplugs provided. The shared living room includes a 48-inch TV, and an outdoor walkway leads to two shared bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, coffee maker, pots, pans & dishes. The walkway is thoughtfully designed with good energy and feng shui, positioned away from sleeping areas to maintain a quiet atmosphere. This historic plantation-style home offers a unique experience rarely found today. Outdoors, enjoy tables & lounge chairs for sunbathing, surrounded by banana, coconut, macadamia nut, tangerine, soursop & lychee trees. Free Parking: Please park in designated guest areas along the house or on the street. Additional Details: - My uncle Jimmy lives on the property for maintenance & security; feel free to reach out if you have questions. - We are located next to a police & fire station, so you may occasionally hear intercom announcements, which adds to your safety. - Shared spaces are for adults only (ages 18+); not suitable for children or infants. - Not wheelchair accessible due to stairs. The kitchen and bathrooms are located at the opposite end of the hallway from the bedrooms, ensuring a quiet sleeping environment. The Hawaiian complex consists of a three-bedroom house connected to two separate studios, totaling five bedrooms. If desired, you can book the entire house for your family. There are 2 private guest parking stalls at the back of the building, 2 on the sides, and free street parking in front. During your stay I respond quickly to guests, so feel free to reach out with any questions during your stay! We strive to maintain a clean property, but with 12 rentals, we may occasionally miss something. If you notice any issues with your room, please let us know immediately so we can address them and ensure you have a wonderful vacation.
