Enjoy epic sunset views over the ocean while surrounded by lush jungle foliage. The scent of plumeria and the gentle calls of tropical birds will never let you forget you're in paradise. While you're here you'll be a stone's throw from many wonderful places to snorkel, as well as Place of Refuge National Park. This is a terrific base camp to explore Volcanoes National Park, Mauna Kea Observatories, the most southern point of the U.S., a black sand Beach and much more! This cozy studio has a king bed, sofa bed, private bath, kitchenette, and it's own private sun deck with views of the ocean. Outside, you can look for tropical birds and lizards while you stroll through the garden. Perhaps pick yourself a fresh papaya! In additional to the studio, the garden is yours to explore, and there is a shared laundry room downstairs. We are sometimes on the property, so do give us a shout if you need anything. Please don't tell anyone how lovely our Black Pebble Beach is at the bottom of the street. We don't want all the tourists here! Keep it private. At our elevation things are a bit more temperate than you'll find it at the ocean level. It's so temperate year round, no one here owns or needs heaters or AC. Our weather is often very predictable as well here in Kona Paradise. You'll tend to find clear skies and sunshine in the morning, a gentle rain in the afternoon, and broken cloud cover through the evening. At the bottom of a hill you'll find a black pebble beach with excellent snorkeling (we have extra snorkeling gear to share) and pleasant hikes that run north or south along the coast (but bring rugged shoes, as the lava rough is tough!) Rental cars are only available at the airport. They have plenty of 4 x 4's if you are interested "off roading" . There is a Costco in Kona, and Costco car rental rates are pretty good. Laundry hours are from 9:00 am till 4:00 pm daily.
