Where are we located? Papabay is 30 miles (45 min - 1 hour) from Kona town and 12 miles (15 minutes)from the nearest store, restaurants, Gas station, hardware store,Salon, Swap meet located in Ocean view. Green sand beach is 31 miles (45 mins) away. Volcano National park is 1 hour and 15 minutes away. Hilo town 1 hour and 30 minutes. The space Serenity Hale is completely off grid Tahitian pole home built in 2010 on 5.5 acres in Captain Cook. Water is collected from the rooftops and filtered 3 times before it reaches the house. Electricity is 100% photovoltaic generated by solar panels and stored in lithium Ferrous Phosphate batteries for use at night. The view from guest quarters is of 20 miles of Kona coastline at 1000 ft elevation ( 5 to 10 degrees cooler than sea level) 2 Comfortable king size bed plus a day bed ( extra sleeping mattresses available). Mini fridge, dining table, barbecue grill, desk and 42" flat screen tv with 12 broadcast channels and Roku for Netflix (no cable, we are really off grid!), and a Wifi access available for you at no extra charge. Guest access You are welcome to use our washer and dryer located in the garage (8am to 2pm), Our washer can only be used for small loads. We are not responsible for any damage to your clothing, caused by the use of our washer and dryer. Other things to note We have a 12 yrs. old border collie name Mojo, he is very intelligent and very entertaining, super friendly, playful and loves kids... He might be a little bit excited as he is very curious and loves to meet new people. Mojo is allowed outside and may pay a visit up to your place and say hi but it's fine if you don't want him to and we will accommodate your wishes. Mojo is our only pet around the house, so if you see any other animals like goats, pigs, cats, turkeys,pheasants or chickens, they are not ours and are wild. Registration Details W33980019-01
