When planning a trip to Maui with your family or friends, you deserve to have the best dining and activities on Maui’s north shore at your fingertips - spectacular oceanfront dining, walking on the beach, swimming and spending time together in nature. We’re long-time residents and Airbnb hosts, and our family’s home in the upscale enclave of Spreckelsville is a two-minute walk to Baby Beach, perfect for young swimmers. Baby Beach leads to Baldwin Beach State Park, with more than a mile of uninterrupted beachfront, and Sugar Cove Beach on the opposite end of our street, a 5-minute walk from the house, offers protection from Maui’s ocean breezes. Public parking can be difficult, so you’ll love being within walking distance of these coveted beaches. You’ll arrive at the courtyard gate, which leads from our quiet residential street into the property. You’ll be met by the tropical plants and flowers surrounding the pool and outdoor lounge and dining areas. A “lanai” (a Hawaiian word for a roofed outdoor room) joins the courtyard and the L-shaped house, which includes three bedrooms and three full baths. Each bedroom has sliding doors onto the lanai and courtyard, except the primary bedroom, which overlooks the Maui Country Club golf course. The primary bedroom includes a decorative fireplace, a walk-in closet, and custom built-in bookshelves. The house also includes the kitchen and dining areas, a great room with expansive golf course views, a separate sitting room, laundry, and an outdoor shower. The small town of Paia has excellent restaurants and boutiques and is just a few minutes' drive. It’s the perfect backdrop to a magical trip, and we’re excited to help you plan jungle excursions, beach picnics, meals at home or Maui’s excellent restaurants, and so much more. We have a studio / office on the property that faces onto the street, but the house, pool and grounds are yours to use exclusively while you're here! Daniel personally takes loving care of the plants on our property. We’re excited to welcome you to our home in person, and we live locally, so we’re always reachable in case of any needs. We know our guests value privacy, so we’ll send you a message or two to make sure you’re having fun and have everything you need, but can have as little in person contact as you'd like after check-in. Our beach oasis is five minutes to Paia Town's fantastic restaurants and shopping, and we'll be happy to send you recommendations so you can start planning as soon as you're ready! Many of our guests rent cars when they land, which is a great way to see a lot of the island. There are Ubers on Maui, but they tend to be expensive and vary in availability, so they’re best for avoiding driving home after a fun night out at a local bar or restaurant. QUIET HOURS: Our Short Term Rental Permit requires guests to keep noise low outdoors between 8:00pm and 7:00am; of course we hope guests will be considerate and respectful of our neighbors at all times. Noise carries at night, therefore outdoor activities, including patio use, should be brought inside by 8:00pm. POOL: Please refer to the pool use information in the rental contract we'll send after you book, but basic safety and common sense apply: children should be supervised, equipment should be undisturbed, and pool noise should be kept respectful for neighbors.
