Comfortable Kolea Cottage, Hana
Kolea, permit BBHA (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , timber built in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , spacious, well equipped and convenient for Hana, is surrounded by lawn carved out of the forest on our 11-acre estate bursting with flowers and fruit trees. Our guests adore this home and write scores of lovely recommendations in our guest book. Some spend only a night, but Hana deserves longer. Two bedrooms, one with a queen, the other with twins. We can sometimes accept a fifth guest on application. With a generous lanai, 1,200 sq ft in all. All the equipment you'd expect. Guests have sole use of the house, driveway and lawn. There are only two houses on our 11 acres, Kolea Cottage and ours, which is about (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) feet away. We usually meet guests who are welcome to wander on our farm, often getting a guided tour and exotic fruits if we are around, as well as any needed Hana advice. Kolea has an ocean view from about a mile and 400 feet up the lower slope of Haleakala. Our road is a rural cul-de-sac with very little traffic. Hana's six beaches are between 5 and 15 minutes, and its two small stores about ten minutes away. Guests reach us by rental car. 4WD not necessary. There is no public transport to Hana. Plenty of parking in the driveway. Single-night bookings only accepted when fitting our schedule. Prices are shown in the calendar. Base daily price quoted is mid-season (Apr to mid Dec) for 2 guests and includes Hawaiian GET, 4.2%, and Transient Accommodation Tax, (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) %. One word of warning. Travelers with a bug phobia should not really stay in Hana.
