I welcome people of all backgrounds to connect with the natural environment and cultures of Maui. The space 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo in Kuau Plaza. The king bed and comfortable sleeper sofa accommodate up to four. A pack-n-play crib is available. Features full kitchen, private ground-floor patio, a large backyard, and laundry facilities. 2-minute walk to the beach and the luxurious Mama's Fish House restaurant. No air conditioning, but the fans and tradewinds keep the breeze moving. Fast WiFi and Smart TV with access to your favorite streaming services & cable TV Zero-waste shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion are provided. Bath towels, beach towels, and hair dryer are provided. The walk-in shower features a waterfall head. (No grab bars or shower seat). New kitchen appliances: electric range, microwave, fridge, dishwasher. Make coffee at home with the French press coffee maker, kettle, and complimentary coffee grounds. Insulated bottles, Brita filter, cooler, and freezer packs are provided. Compost and recycling services available. Enjoy tropical views of the backyard, coconut trees, and a charming neighborhood. Dine outdoors on the patio. No smoking on the property. Beach chairs & beach umbrella are available. What makes my place eco-friendly? When my parents and I renovated the Kūʻau condo, I decided we'd do everything as sustainably as possible. We recycled wood wall panels into baseboards, restored furniture, and sourced from local businesses. We were careful to dispose of waste properly, pick energy-efficient appliances, and use low-VOC products. Amenities prioritize circular use and ethical manufacturing. I clean the unit with safe products and zero-waste principles. Guest access The entire condo unit to yourself... Ground floor level gives easy access and expanded sense of space to the shared backyard. Private gate for easy walking to the beach. Access beach at your own risk. Washer, dryers in separate and shared laundry house. One reserved parking stall directly outside the unit. Other things to note THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING – The tropical Hawaiian climate can be warm and humid. Two ceiling fans, a floor fan and the natural tradewinds keep the breeze moving. Potential for noise – The condominium is next to Hāna Highway, so there is street noise, especially in the bedroom. Closing the windows and turning on the fan dampens the noise. Walls and ceiling are cement, making it quiet from the surrounding neighbors. Presence of insects - Hawaiʻi is a tropical environment; therefore, there may be insects year-round. Spot treatment is done as needed in safe areas. Building maintenance includes quarterly outdoor spraying. Please store all food & drinks in the fridge or sealed containers, and clean up crumbs and spills thoroughly. Keep the screen door closed to keep out flying insects. There is a flyswatter hanging by the sliding door and insect spray under the sink. No refunds or adjustments for pest control issues. I’ll be happy to help if a problem needs attention. No smoking building - Smoking/ vaping is not allowed indoors or outdoors near the building. Beach access is not ADA-accessible and can be steep and slippery. Access at your own risk.
