The space The studio is private and secluded with a garden and outdoor seating area, pet play area and fire pit. There are no stairs for our studio apartment. The furnished kitchen has a compact refrigerator with both fridge and freezer, toaster oven & induction cooktop. All dishes and cooking utensils are furnished. Everything you need for efficient cooking and serving meals. Kerig coffeemaker. Full size washer and dryer in the laundry room. One other guest has shared use of laundry room. All linens, towels & blankets are provided. Storage area and closet. We make it easy to move in & have what you need for one to 6 months. Perfect for working professionals. Smoking is not allowed inside but is ok outside in the seating area and by the fire pit in the backyard. One dog or cat is allowed. To determine if your pet is a good match for our guesthouse, please contact us to tell us the sex, breed, weight and age of your dog. Do you have a portable kennel/crate? Does your dog have his own bed? With cats just mention if it is litter box trained. If you plan on leaving your pet home alone, you will need to provide a crate. Dogs are not allowed on beds or sofas without a protective cover. Just ask me for assistance. We want you and your pet to be comfortable and we want to insure that our next guest to have a space that does not have residual pet hair or pet odors. There is an additional pet accommodation fee of $66 Please insure that your pet is on flea treatment. If we discover that a flea treatment is needed, we will charge $300. Sometimes fleas don't show up until month after the pet leaves. We ask that you bring covers for the sofa and the bed. Dogs are not allowed to sleep in the bed.. If you are planning on leaving your pet home alone, you need to provide a kennel for your dog. It is important that you maintain control of your animal in the outdoor area, which may necessitate that your dog be on a least. Please communicate with the guest in the adjacent apartment about how to be accommodating to each guests needs in the shared spaces. The barbecue area and larger yard and fire pit are also shared. This is an area where guests from both apartments may use to walk or exercise a dog. Please scoop poop immediately. It is important that you maintain control of your dog and use a leash. If two dogs are on the property at one time, we require that only one dog be in the yard at a time. We have two cats who live at the Birdhouse. They are likely to try to intimidate your dog.! We have neighboring dogs and going close to the fence line may be problem and cause them to act defensively. You will need to insure that your dog does not bark in the back yard, since this may disturb the other guests. A park on the Vermillion River is also within walking distance. Guest access You will feel safe and secluded at the Sanctuary Studio. You have a designated off-street parking spot. Your entry is well-lighted and on the right side of the circular driveway. Use the keyless entry from the parking lot into the courtyard. The Sanctuary Studio has its own private seating area and a separate keyless entry into the apartment. The larger fenced outdoor area is shared with one other guest. It has a privacy fence, trees, gardens, a fire pit, comfortable chairs and space to walk a dog. My cat lives on the property, but he does not come into the guesthouses. The space is large enough for privacy and is perfect for guests who are traveling with pets Other things to note We are walking distance to Heymann Park and the Vermillion River. The center of the park is Chaugois Springs with cypress trees and moss-draped oaks. The park also has a children's play area, frisby golf and a jogging/ exercise path. Most of the neighborhood has sidewalks. The residential area is quiet and predominately owner occupied. We are very centrally located within 7 minutes of downtown, the Oil Center and 4 major hospitals. We often host guests who are working as traveling medical professionals who need quiet and privacy for sleeping during the day. Our primary intention is that you feel cozy, safe and well cared for. Our family has operated our guest-house business for 8 years and we have more than 500 reviews on several sites. We now have 7 guest houses, so we can usually accommodate guest needs and preferences.
