Cottage by River/Fishing/Bike- No Cleaning Fee!
**This property does not allow pets** Our 1-bedroom cottage sits adjacent to the beautiful South Branch of the Raritan River, known for its outstanding fly fishing and bird watching. It is a short walk (0.3 miles) to the Ken Lockwood Gorge. Access to the Columbia Trail for walking or biking is only steps away. Close to Chester, Clinton, Oldwick, High Bridge, Tewksbury, Lebanon, Annandale, Long Valley. The space Single bedroom (queen) loft style, with views of the river. The bedroom has a sitting area and large walk-in closet and plenty of windows for cross-ventilation (a/c is available). 1st floor has an open floorplan with full kitchen, living area with couch and TV and it's only (full) bathroom. We also have a pellet stove for our winter visitors (available November-March). We have a large yard that sits right on the South Branch of the Raritan River. Sit in our Adirondack chairs and take in the sights! You may be lucky enough to see our neighbors - the numerous Blue Heron or Bald Eagles! Fisherman will be impressed by the amazing trout and fly fishing available right outside your door. Bring your bikes - the Columbia Trail boarders our property! Take a short ride into town and enjoy a famous Rambo's Country store sandwich or burger. If you want to ride a little further you can keep going to Long Valley or High Bridge - all accessible from the trail and both towns have their own craft breweries. Close-by we have apple and pumpkin picking, hiking, antique shopping, as well as numerous other activities to enjoy. Parking space for 1 or 2 cars is right outside your door. Please note, owners are onsite and share property in a separate home (cottage located in our backyard). We look forward to your visit and for you to enjoy the special town we live in. Guest access You will have full access to the cottage, which is a completely separate dwelling from our home that is located on the same property. Guests have full access to the riverside yard (there is a road between cottage and riverside yard). There is a fire pit , however, you must ask permission so we can first evaluate the conditions (wind, drought, etc.). We will provide you with our permit number and then you are required to call local dispatch to inform them of the intent to have a campfire and call them again when the fire is extinguished - this is required by NJ law. BYOW ( bring your own wood), no wood will be provided, but you may use any kindling found on our property. Other things to note Owner's home shares the same property as the cottage.
