This loft apartment is located in downtown Jersey City, which directly faces Manhattan across a 1 mile stretch of the Hudson River. Jersey City is often called the '6th borough' because of its close proximity to New York City's 5 boroughs (The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan). But unlike the other boroughs, Jersey City enjoys the most convenient access to Manhattan, the lowest rates and the best views of the Manhattan skyline. If you were to stay in one of the other boroughs -- The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens or Staten Island -- it would take you about 40 min to get to Times Square. And staying in Manhattan, though convenient, would be extremely expensive and small for the price. From our apartment, a 5 minute walk to the subway and a 5 minute train ride gets you directly to lower Manhattan at the Freedom Tower (formerly World Trade Center) and a 10 minute ride gets you directly to the lights of Broadway. Savvy travelers to the New York City area stay in downtown Jersey City -- and downtown Jersey City specifically -- where you get easy, fast access to Manhattan and a trendy, safe, walkable community at a great price. We are a safe, 'walkable' neighborhood with everything you need just a stroll away including transportation to NYC, restaurants, laundry, cafes, etc. To access Manhattan/New York City, Times Square, Broadway, and sites like the Statue of Liberty and World Trade Center, ferries and PATH trains are just a short 5-10 minute walk away from the apartment. You would get directly to everything there is to see within 5-15 minutes on our 24-hour PATH trains directly to Broadway points or a quick ride on our ferry service. The cost for the 24-hour PATH train is $2.50 one way or $1.90 when you buy them by 10 packs. These trains go directly to Broadway so there is no need to transfer to New York City subways and pay an additional fare. New York Waterway ferries, just a short 5- minute walk from the apartment, are $5 one-way and can get you to points along the West or East Side of Manhattan in as little as 5-10 minutes. New York City is better when you stay with us. We have the best views of the New York City skyline, the most convenient access to all the tourist attractions via our ferries and trains and we're over 50% less expensive than comparable options within New York City.
