The king size bed is amazingly comfortable. The views from the lanai are incredible. The unit offers free wifi and has a brand new 'smart TV'. Hook up your phone or computer over the wifi and enjoy streaming all your photos, music and netflix account through the TV. Extremely safe and low key, with plenty of great stores, restaurants, beaches and activities... The neighboorhood has everything you could ask for; Maui Brewing Co, Miso Phat Sushi and a great convenience store across the street! Rent a car at the airport! They're not expensive and you'll need a car to get around the island. One quick note; Since ‘everyone’ rents a car on Maui, if you come into OGG as a couple, I suggest, from lots of experience, send one of you to go rent the car right when you come down from the escalator to baggage claim, and the other person to go to baggage claim and wait/gather your luggage. Generally, by the time you rent the car and drive around to baggage claim, bags are just coming up from the flight. You load up and go! If you wait, that’s when EVERYONE goes to rent a car and you will end up spending way too much time in line waiting for the other 200 people on your flight to rent cars from the various rental agencies...Not to rush you on the start of your vacation, but I think most will find time spent better on the lanai with a Mai Tai, than in the line for a rental car! AT PRESENT, THERE IS LIMITED BEACH ACCESS AT THE RESORT. MOTHER NATURE TOOK AWAY THE BEACH DUE TO SOME HIGH SURF IN RECENT MONTHS. HOPING FOR IT'S RETURN!
