Welcome to our Slice of Paradise! As of June 2023 our unit has been remodeled/updated - see new photos in listing. Kona Shores is an oceanfront complex on Ali'i Dr south of Kona Town. An excellent location for affordable lodging. A great choice for exploring the Big Island &close to town if you don't plan to spend alot of time in the condo. Choose Kona Shores for low rates, do be aware it is an older building. No ocean view from the unit, beautiful ocean front pool. Car for rent on request The space Kona Shores is an older, small, quiet oceanfront complex just one mile south of Kona Town. Cozy (600 sq ft) 2 bedroom/1 bath. Our remodel was completed in early June 2023 and includes new living room furnishings; kitchen now has granite countertop, new refrigerator and new cabinets; bedrooms have new soft goods; bathtub and shower have been cleaned and refinished; and more. The unit is clean & comfortable though the complex is older and basic. An affordable great place (less expensive than most Kona Town hotel rooms) to return to after exploring all the beautiful Big Island has to offer. Our beautiful Oceanfront Pool is a great place to relax and soak in the sun while you watch the spinner dolphins, whales (during season), parasailers and a variety of boats pass by. Barbeque (perhaps the fresh catch of the day) at the poolside barbeque before (or after, or during) the amazing sunsets. The rocks in front of our pool are the best place to see those sunsets, and perhaps even the legendary Green Flash (it really does happen!) Unit #235 is a small, 600 square foot 2 bedroom/1 bath condo with tropical aloha decor that sleeps 4 people. There is a queen in the master bedroom, 2 twins in the 2nd bedroom and a regular couch (no sofa sleeper) in the living room. The complex is older however our condo has been remodeled as of June 2023. There is a fully equipped kitchen. All linens and towels are provided as well as beach toys including snorkel gear, boogie boards, coolers, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella and more- these are on the lanai and yours to use and enjoy! There is coin guest laundry on site. Downtown Kona is only about a mile walk (or quick drive) away with shopping, nightlife and a variety of dining choices. Some of our favorites are Huggos/On the Rocks, Kona Inn, Lava Java, Magics, Don's Mai Tai Bar at Royal Kona, Papa Kona's, A-bays on Ali'i Drive, Kona Brewing Company, Humpys, Kai's and more. This is a great place to return home to after enjoying all the the Big Island has to offer. Guest access This is a full rental of the 2 bedroom/1 bath condo. One complimentary parking space is included. We highly recommend a car rental for your stay on the Big Island. We have a 2023 Hyundai Venue car available for rent on Turo - inquire if interested. Other things to note Full welcome packet with details on check in, lock box code for keys, parking space number, wireless access code, etc will be sent upon confirmation. Basic supplies are provided at check in (typically 4 rolls of TP, 2 rolls of paper towels, dish and hand soap, etc) however these are not replenished during your stay and there is not daily housekeeping.
