New in 2026! This geodesic dome is exactly same as the first fantastic geodesic dome for the guests who enjoy the sounds of nature when you stay comfortably. We named this fantastic Geodesic dome as Queen’s palace as it is so beautiful. It is located by a breathtaking view of a huge pond and timer area across the pond by the Lake Red Rock, with a breathtaking sunset from another pond back on the west. The space New in 2026! The campsite is located on a peninsula in Lake Red Rock, about 50 miles southeast of Des Moines. It is 40 acres fenced, hilly/pond land, which is rare in Iowa. You may enjoy three private ponds for fishing and a 10-acre timber area for shaded hiking. The area is peaceful and quiet. The are also a lot to do nearby. The Whitebreast Beach (open during May to September each year, $5 per carload) is one mile away. The Red Rock Lake boat ramp, Historic Coal Ridge Church, Stu Kuyper hiking trail, and the Youth Park are all within a mile. The Knoxville raceway and the historic City of Pella are nearby. The newly built 20ft-diameter geodesic glamping dome tent is located by a pond, offering a great view, in our 40 acres Tri-pond campground near Lake Red Rock. The dome has a queen-size bed with mattresses and bed linens, a table and two chairs. The dome is also equipped with an electric generator to power a portable air conditioner for summer and wood stove for winter. There is a solar fan on top of the dome for general ventilation. The dome has a yard in the shaded area with a picnic table, a fire pit and a tri-pot for fun and cooking, and a BBQ grill. There are several trees near the dome good for hammocks. There is a camping toilet and a camping shower bag near the dome. The dome has a solar battery powered light and can be turned off from your comfortable bed. The dome is also equipped with a solar battery and solar panels for various applications including charging cell phones, lights, or other minor electricity needs. We will provide two bottles of drinking water in the dome. The regular drinking water tap is located at the campground gate by a white small house. Hope you will find joy, peace, and happiness in this wonderful piece of nature heaven campground and the surrounding areas. Guest access Guests will get a site gate code to access the 40-acre campground and dome key instructions one day before check-in. The site has newly built a gravel road that leads to this geodesic dome. Other things to note There are 3 fishing ponds that have large mouth bass, crape and blue gill on site for the guests.
