Decorah Valley Home with a View (Apartment 1)

Welcome to the Oneota Vista, a private apartment on the second floor of our house with beautiful views of the Oneota valley. Our home is located on the Trout Run bike trail (an 11-mile paved loop which winds through Decorah). It is a mile walk to downtown Decorah, and less than 2 miles from Luther College. This cozy apartment is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring, canoeing, hiking, biking, fishing, shopping, and checking out the local breweries. The space The unit consists of 2 bedrooms, a private bathroom, a full kitchen, and open living/dining space with beautiful hardwood floors. The main bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds with an additional trundle for a 3rd person. Also, the futon couch in the living area can be used as a bed if needed. Basic wifi, a TV with Netflix, as well as a variety of DVDs, family games, and puzzles are available for use during your stay. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and Keurig available. A washer and dryer is located in the hallway closet. Guest access You'll have access to the entire second floor of the house. There is a separate entrance up a flight of stairs on the side of the house for your use (an outdoor staircase leading to the private second story entrance). You also have access to several common areas that are shared with guests of the other apartment, including the East Courtyard, the bike garage (with bikes available for checkout), the secluded backyard and firepit, the hiking trails in the woods, and the large lawn. Other things to note Please note that the remote location makes internet access difficult, and the valley can impede cellular access. We have a Starlink satellite connection. While Wifi works great for general email/web surfing, it is not ideal for streaming or Zoom videoconference.
