The space Bayview Sunset Cottage is a private one-bedroom retreat offering more space and comfort than most cottages in the area, with approximately 800 square feet designed for relaxing, not cramped stays. The cottage is attached to the main home but is fully private, with its own entrance, driveway, and completely fenced yard that is not shared. Just steps from the Delaware Bay, known for its calm, shallow water, it’s perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, and long walks along the shoreline. In late spring, you may even experience horseshoe crab season, one of the bay’s most unique natural events. As the owner, I live on-site with my Golden Retrievers, Asher and Okemo, in a separate private residence and personally maintain the property to a high standard. I’m nearby if needed, but guests have complete privacy and most never see me during their stay. Inside, the home is clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up with a cozy living area, gas fireplace, and smart TV. The fully equipped kitchen includes both Keurig and drip coffee makers, a stocked coffee bar, and everything needed for easy meals. The bedroom features a comfortable queen bed with quality linens, and the living room includes a queen sleeper sofa for additional guests. Outside is where guests spend most of their time. Other things to note This is a quiet, relaxing property designed for peaceful stays by the bay. It’s a great fit for couples and guests looking to unwind and enjoy the space. We’re dog-friendly and happy to accommodate one well-behaved dog.
