Access lift start date varies, but typically early to mid-December. Access lifts may close before Big Sky Resort's closing day depending on snow conditions. No access until lifts open and after lifts close. Direct access to the Madison Base Area Ski School makes morning lessons a breeze. Ski Out: Exit through the garage and go to the right to the Natawista ski access trail that connects at the end of the road. Go left down the trail, the trail will “Y”. To go to the Moonlight Lodge, go straight on the Bootlegger trail then follow the signs to Moonlight Lodge to get to Iron Horse and Big Sky Resort. To go to the Madison base area, go left, which is Natawista, then veer to the left over the bridge to Drover Trail. Then take Cinnabar to Madison Base at Moonlight Basin. Ski In: From the top of Iron Horse lift or Six Shooter lift, follow signs to Cinnabar to Natawista and back to the house. From the top of Pony Express lift, cross the Powder River run, under the ski bridge to Natawista. The end of Mountain Home Road will be on your left. Ski down the road to your home.
