Standalone home just built in the trees in the Pahoa Rainforest! Your hosts are Mindy & Scott🥰 WE HAVE A CAR FOR RENT. ASK US! Includes 1 huge bedroom w/ queen bed, sofa bed, & a huge loft w/ a queen bed, all in the middle of the rainforest! Your home is 100% private. Includes parking, WiFi, AC, TV, full kitchen & bath. Access to entire property including all fruit trees, BBQ, beach gear/boards & hand made maps/Itineraries of the greatest spots on Big Island! **PLEASE READ ALL INFO The space You are renting in a rural, peaceful, out of the busy lane of life location. It’s a convenient location if you want to be in the gorgeous jungle and reasonably close to many tourist locations and beaches on the EAST HILO side of the island. (See list under “Other Things To Note” below). ***YOUR Lodging/Rental SPACE IS NOT SHARED WITH OTHER GUESTS! •There are a couple rentals on this property so from time to time you may see other guests. However, your rental is completely away from the main house & other rentals and very secluded. •Property is gated & fenced with 1.5 acres. Feel free to walk the property as you submerge yourself into nature you’ve never seen before! Feel free to grab some fruit along the way… you can always ask us what is in season. PLEASE DON'T WALK DURING RAIN, STORMS, WINDY DAYS or AT NIGHT. YOUR SPACE: Stand alone treehouse! We built a Hawaiian style home around our RV/toy hauler. It’s absolutely amazing and the feel and vibe when you’re inside is so serene and so comfortable! •Private parking for 2 vehicles. •Screened lanai entrance. Bedroom and living room both accessible from lanai. •2 Queen Beds, 1 sectional sofa bed for 1 person (or 2 children), and another fold out couch bed for 1 person. •Pack’n’Play available. •Desk for office space. •A/C in living room. •Ceiling fan in bedroom. •Portable fans in all rooms. •1 full bath with large closet. ROOM DESCRIPTIONS: •DOWNSTAIRS BEDROOM (WHICH ALSO DOUBLES AS A LIVING ROOM): has 1 huge bedroom with 1 queen bed, a sectional sofa bed which turns into a sofa bed (comfortable for 1 adult or 2 children), large Roku TV, clothing storage, room darkening shutters, privacy curtains that go all the way across the room between the bed and the sofa, extra blankets & pillows. We also have a privacy screen that you can use to seclude either sofa bed. ** Sheets, blankets, and pillow pillows for the sofa beds are inside the orange sofa. Lift the seat up by the handle. •UPSTAIRS: is a huge loft with a queen bed and a recliner chair. Has a bench for storage which also includes extra blankets & pillows. INSIDE the RV: •LIVING ROOM: complete with A/C, a couch which also becomes a single bed, desk & chair, Roku TV, Stereo system, dvd player, water cooler that also heats, board games, reading material, children’s toys and books, storage cabinets, dehumidifier, portable fan. •FULL KITCHEN: complete with propane oven & stove, microwave, coffee pot, coffee & condiments, refrigerator, freezer, sink, air fryer, dishes, utensils, pots & pans, food storage containers. •FULL BATHROOM: Toilet, shower with safety hand rails as it does step up, sink, medicine cabinet dehumidifier and large closet. •SCREENED LANAI: This is the entrance to your rental. It is fully screened to keep the critters out but still shows the beautiful view is the jungle. From there you can enter thru the RV door or the bedroom door. Has table, 3 chairs, speakers, coolers, trash can. •EXTERIOR: Smoking section, 2 parking spots, gardens to view. Guest access You will have your own keys for the door. •You have access to our fruit and nut trees and can pick what’s in season. Ask us if you aren’t sure! ***See the list of all of the trees in our photos!*** •Covered BBQ available for all guests. PLEASE RESERVE! •We have coconut painting on the back gazebo towards the back of the property. •Feel free to roam the entire property. For your safety we ask that you do not roam at night or the during rain storms. But please feel free to stand outside and play in the rain!! It’s definitely an experience! •There are complementary beach supplies, INCLUDING SURFBOARDS and BOOGIE BOARDS, beach towels (inside your unit), beach sheets, water shoes, snorkel gear, water weenies, rain ponchos, beach chairs, located behind your unit on the far side of the garage in front of the blue house in the BROWN BIN. ***Some equipment in the brown bin is gently used, please don't leave a review based on the condition of the “FREE-TO-USE” equipment after your stay. Items have been left by past guests for use by other like you and its usable & functional. If you find something that is not, please let us know so we can discard. ****Please be mindful that we might have other guests on the property, as we do have more than one unit. Other things to note Aloha! We're so happy you've chosen Hale Wai'o Stay for your well deserved getaway! **A few things to note... A/C CANNOT RUN WITH NOBODY HOME. If left on we will ask to enter to turn off, or we will flip the power off until you get home. If you want it left on then we charge $10 a day to keep it running. •We live down a 1/2 mile lava/rock road that does have bumps, dips, puddles & potholes due to our amazing rain, but they are totally safe to drive thru. We drive slow and around them as much as possible. •We have two Golden Doodles that have their own space away from guests. If you'd like to interact, they would love that! Just ask. We also have cats and chickens that roam the property. ***** There are insects, mostly at night. We provide bug repellent and actually grow citronella grass on the property. The majority of guests are not overly affected. We do not offer refunds due to mother natures pests. ***PLEASE do not leave a review based on situations and circumstances that are out of our control, specifically mother nature… The lava road, the insects, the beautiful gecko lizards, the rain/wind, the beautiful sounds of nature, especially the coqui frogs at night. EVERYTHING Listed above is clearly mentioned several times in our listing. MAHALO!!! 👇🏼💥IMPORTANT NOTES TO AVOID ADDITIONAL FEES 💥👇🏼 ~We get a lot of rain and the ground is usually wet to some degree 24 hours a day… **PLEASE REMOVE YOUR SHOES BEFORE COMING INSIDE. If you do not want to leave your shoes outside, you’re welcome to place them inside the entryway. ~ BBQ in backyard is for all guests use! We’ve gotten complaints from guests who have had to clean up after other guests and that’s not fair. **ALSO PLEASE TURN OFF PROPANE AFTER USE. THEREFORE, 🔹IF THERE IS ANY OVERLY EXCESSIVE DIRT, GRASS, TRASH, ETC. ON THE FLOOR, 🔹or GREASE, OIL, ETC. LEFT ON THE STOVE or ANYTHING ELSE LEFT OVERLY DIRTY, 🔹or IF THE BARBECUE IS NOT CLEANED AFTER EVERY USE, 👉🏼THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL $25 CHARGE FOR ANY ADDITIONAL NEEDED CLEANING.👈🏼 🔹PLEASE TURN OFF THE AIR CONDITIONERS, LIGHTS AND FANS BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR THE DAY. IF THE A/C’s ARE LEFT ON, THERE WILL EITHER BE AN ADDED CHARGE OF $10 PER DAY, PER ROOM, *OR* WITH YOUR PERMISSION WE WILL ENTER TO TURN THEM OFF WITH *NO* ADDED CHARGE. Please get a hold of me if you need something. DURING YOUR STAY: You WILL experience rain during your stay. That is the beautiful and unique thing about where we are…..a tropical rainforest!!! It’s warm and a lot of fun to play in :) it stops as quick as it starts most times. Please be mindful about walking in the mud for your safety. •You will encounter the green gecko lizards. They are very beautiful and totally harmless. If you put jelly on your finger and move slowly towards them, they will come and lick it off of your finger. There is jelly in your refrigerator. 😉 •You will hear the coqui frogs at night. 90% of people find their sounds very comforting and soothing and beautiful. Although they are not for everybody, just know that they are here. LOCAL SHOPPING: Our quaint little town of Pahoa is 4 miles away w/ many shops, storefronts, and restaurants! •Longs Drugstore in Pahoa or Malama Market in Puna Kai Shopping Market - approx 5 miles, 10 minutes away. •Burger King, McDonalds, Popeyes, Coco-Cantina, Luquins, Pahoa Fish Store, Pahoa Sushi, Dominos, Pizza-Hut. Bananarama Bakery. Boogie Woogie Pizza! 🍕 •Pele's Farm to Table is amazing for local plates •Keloe's Bar & Grill - fresh daily catch. •Walmart, Target, KTA, Safeway all located in Hilo. •Lava Tree Park is 4 miles from us as well. It’s a very interesting site to see. •The Lava Zone Museum is located in Pahoa - all from Volcano National Park.
