Guest access Guests have private access to the entire home and property during their stay. Important Lake Access Information Paddle Point is located on Upper Greenwood Lake, a private HOA lake. Guests are not permitted to swim, kayak, paddle board, or use boats on Upper Greenwood Lake unless the owners are present. There are several nearby lakes where guests can enjoy swimming and other water activities, and we provide recommendations and directions in our Guest Welcome Book. Seasonal swimming note: Many nearby lake beaches typically close after Labor Day because lifeguards are no longer on duty. Wawayanda State Park is currently scheduled to remain open for swimming through September 27, 2026, weather and park conditions permitting. Please check current conditions before visiting. Other things to note Other Things to Know Maximum occupancy: 10 guests Permit #: 2025-022 Maximum vehicles: 5 Quiet hours: 10 PM–8 AM and strictly enforced Pets: No pets at this time Parking: Designated spaces in the driveway or directly in front of the house on the rocks Wi-Fi: Reliable Wi-Fi is available for remote work and streaming Winter travel: AWD/4WD is recommended during winter weather Road access: Easy access via paved road and private driveway Wildlife Wildlife is common in the area, including birds, foxes, deer, and occasionally bears. On rare occasions, you may see a bear passing through the area looking for food. For everyone's safety, please keep food indoors and secure all garbage in the cans underneath the side entrance. Please do not leave food outside. Lake Maintenance Every five years, the lake association lowers the water level temporarily for lake-bed maintenance and to give homeowners an opportunity to service their docks. During this time, the lake remains full of water but may be at a lower level than usual. We just had it happen in Spring of 2026. Cancellation Policy Please check cancellation policy We do not offer refunds for natural disasters, road closures, weather-related conditions, poor air quality, snowstorms, or other major events outside of our control. When planning a trip to the West Milford/Hewitt area, we recommend purchasing travel insurance to help protect your trip against unforeseen circumstances. One Important House Rule Gatherings and events may not exceed the maximum occupancy of 10 guests. Quiet hours are 10 PM–8 AM and are strictly enforced. Noise violations may result in a $500 fine to the guest of record. Important: Upper Greenwood Lake is a private HOA lake. Guest use of the lake is restricted unless the owners are present.
