Downtown Hamilton Hideaway. Dogs welcome!
Hamilton, Montana is a small town nestled in the shadows of the Bitterroot Saphire Mountains. The town a vibrant old downtown with theater, live music, a great weekly farmer’s market plus easy access to backpacking in the mountains or enjoying the river or local lakes. Hamilton is home to the Daly Mansion of the Montana Copper Kings. It’s close to several wildlife refuges including the famous Lee Metcalf Refuge. Guides are readily available for horseback rides, fly fishing , and float trips. This is a classic small house who’s bones are over a hundred years old, but it was completely remodeled 6 years ago.The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. There’s a full laundry. And a well stocked open kitchen. Your dog is welcome but please clean up. There are long ambling walks around the neighborhood that my labradoodles recommend. You’ll find a smart flat screen TV and WiFi and a pile of my husband’s favorite books. If you really like to read and fall in love just take it home. He’ll enjoy the excuse to find more. The entire house is yours although, I doubt you’ll spend much time in the crawl space or attic. You’re welcome to use any food, cleaning, supplies, dishes, or appliances. I’ve tried to anticipate what most people would want to use. The yard is small but fenced. You’ll find the best part wandering around a classic western small town and just relaxing. Free free to text me anytime before 10 pm. I live about an hour away but I’m sure I can help you with most everything on the phone. I’d really appreciate your feedback on what you liked and what you wish I changed. This home is our vacation spot too so we would love to share in your discoveries. Your hideaway house is within blocks of downtown where shops, restaurants and breweries abound. There is parking on street. There is a small but secure 3ft chain link side and back yard. Churches, bars, and eating establishments abound , just like every Montana town. Driving is easy in this little town to get to the river, the fairgrounds or to the trailheads for day hikes. Many features, shopping, eating, parks and farmers market are walking distance. There is a cab and Uber if you’d rather be driven. I have a notebook of house information. Also I’m forming a binder of spots of interest including takeout menus. Feel free to add to this list.
