Take a break and unwind at this peaceful retreat where you can enjoy swimming, paddling, kayaking, campfires, and beautiful sunsets over the lake. The house accommodates up to nine guests with two bedrooms, two sleeper sofas, and a twin bed in the game room. Conveniently located off I-84, it is a short drive to Sturbridge, Brimfield, Boston, and Hartford. Venture out to enjoy the Brimfield Flea Market, Old Sturbridge Village, Tree House Brewery, Adventure Park in Storrs, hiking trails, and more. The space With ample off-street parking for up to six cars, come enjoy this charming lakeside retreat. Walk into the open main floor with a cathedral ceiling and abundant sunlight. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable seating area, and a dining area on the main level with a wall of windows to enjoy the view of the lake. You will also find a newly remodeled bathroom equipped with a full tub and shower enclosure or you may choose to enjoy the enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The lower level is a warm and inviting game room where you can enjoy playing pool, darts, board games, or watching television. There is even a coffee table that converts to a casino table with craps, blackjack, and roulette. For added ambiance or heat, turn on the electric fireplace. From the lower level, step outside through either of the two patio doors to a short walk on level land to the lakefront area shared with two other homes. Here you can walk into the sandy-bottom shallow lakefront to enjoy swimming, paddle boarding (two boards), kayaking (up to four kayaks), or simply relaxing by the water. At night, feel free to take advantage of the fire pit – either by the lake or another one closer to the house. Please note that you will need to supply your own firewood. One-week shows in May, July, and September. A welcome packet outlining all of the above is available at the house, and we are always available for any additional questions. Guest access To enter the house, use the keypad on the front door. Let us know a 4 digit code if you prefer to pick your own. Otherwise we will send you your unique code on check in day. Other things to note There is a Ring doorbell at the main entrance to the home. No smoking inside and no pets allowed on the property. There is a $500 charge if this policy is not respected. Thank you for adhering to this policy. Although there is no place to dock or moor a boat on the shared waterfront, the public boat launch is 0.6 miles from the house, and there is ample space in the driveway to park a boat.
