Leave the hustle and bustle of life and spend some time getting cozy in nature with our rustic yurt. The space Please note this is a primitive yurt without running water. However, a few gallons of water will be provided for your stay. Unfortunately, we are unable to allow pets at this time. INSIDE THE YURT The inside of the yurt is a large open space. There is a wood stove that is the yurts sole source of heat. Please be comfortable with operating a wood stove if visiting in the winter. The yurt does not have an AC but a fan will be provided. There is one twin size trundle bed and a full size futon. An extra cot can be available on request. Linens and blankets will be provided. Appliances include a coffeemaker, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, and a hot plate. BATHROOM Our bathroom is more like an outhouse as it is not inside the yurt but a few steps away in its own shelter, and includes an electric incinerator toilet. Please Note: There is a small frog pond a short distance away from the yurt. If traveling with young children please be mindful of it. **Cell service is unreliable at the yurt. NEARBY PLACES We have so many great places within driving distance to visit. Wendell State Forest, Barton's Cove, Lake Wyola, some Quabbin gates, and other great hiking/swimming/fishing places are within 10-30 minutes. Greenfield & Amherst are approx 30 minutes away. Northampton is 40 minutes away. Athol is 25 minutes away. Gardner is 37 minutes away. Guest access The whole yurt is accessible. The yurt is located on 7 acres of forest. You are able to explore it but please be respectful of our neighbors.
