Hiawatha House

Remodeled Log Cabin on 1 acre 10 minutes from downtown Missoula. Close to the Clark fork river, hiking trails, and skiing! 3 bedrooms, 2 baths open concept living space. Relax and enjoy the views from this cozy log cabin. The space Completely remodeled 3 bedroom 2 bath log home on 1 acre. In 2014 we gutted our log house and turned it into a home! All new everywhere!! Private setting yet close to restaurants, bars, movie theaters and shopping. The Hiawatha House is our home and we rent it while we travel with our 2 kids. It is available to you to enjoy as your 'home away from home' while visiting Missoula. Sit on the large and comfy couch while enjoying views of Snowbowl Ski Mountain. Open concept living is great for families or small groups. Huge kitchen with family 'heirloom' antique stove and large commercial fridge, wall oven, microwave, and dishwasher. We try to provide all the tools for your cooking needs. There are some spices and condiments and coffee and tea for you to enjoy. The Dining area is open to the main living area and kitchen. Our table seats 6 comfortably and can squeeze up to 8 people. Master Suite has a comfortable queen size bed with great bedding. It is a peaceful place to rest and read a book. Enjoy the huge shower in the attached master bath. Upstairs Bedroom is perfect for kids. We leave lots of books and the downstairs closet is stocked with crayons and paper!. This bedroom has a double bed and a single bed in the loft! ****In this room we can also de-kid it somewhat! The first floor bedroom is our office and can be made up to accommodate another guest in a single bed! The loft bed could be brought into this room providing for two singles. All beds have micro fiber sheets, comforters and quilts. The first floor bathroom is a great place for a soak! Step into our deep stock tank and relax in a hot bath. Extra linens are in the hall closet. There are two entries to the home, through the locked key door or through the back mudroom using the key code. The key code will be given to you prior to your arrival. The back mud room is a great place to take off wet boots, even snow gear and store away during your stay. Guest access Guests will have access to: Wi- fi, Apple TV with unlimited Netflix streaming, PBS, ABC, CBS, and NBC and some other networks. We do not have regular TV so no local news or sports. You can stream from phones. We also have google chrome! Sound system for ipod, mp3 players, phones, etc. Washer Detergent provided! We offer dōTERRA shampoo and conditioner and shower gel Locked closets, cabinets, and outbuildings are off limits to guests. Please do not remove anything from the carport, as this is also off limits. Thank you! Other things to note We have pets! A dog and a cat. They are outside animals. Our dog will not be present during your stay. However, our cat, Leonardo D' Catrio (Lenny) will be on site. He is our resident mouser and takes his job very seriously. He has a warm bed and food in our barn and is fed by our host. You may never see him, but if you do, you are welcome to say Hello and give him a good pet. Otherwise there is no obligation to him. Our host will make sure he is tended to. Please understand that for stays longer than a week, our host will come by every 5 or 6 days to replenish his feeder. Please do not rent our home if you are opposed to Lenny Cat being on the property. We are also chicken farmers and have many chickens whom give us a bounty of eggs daily! Please collect the eggs daily and enjoy them !!! Our host will tend to chickens in all other ways!
