Please review the available sleeping arrangements to ensure a comfortable stay for your group. Public Boat Ramp: Less than 5 minutes away in Montrose for easy water access. Boat & Trailer Parking: Available on-site. An additional fee may apply—please inquire with your specific needs. Safety & Location Disclosure: The property is uniquely situated between the Mississippi River (in front) and active railroad tracks (behind). This location offers beautiful views and a charming atmosphere, but also requires special attention to safety—especially for families with children. The river is just across the lane from the unit and easily accessible on foot. Please supervise children closely when outside. The railroad tracks run directly behind the property and are active. Trains may pass by occasionally during your stay. Most guests find the sound minor and even nostalgic (many kids love it!), but light sleepers may want to take note. Outdoor Enjoyment: A large yard is perfect for a game of catch or a friendly match of cornhole (boards and bags provided—please return them to the garage when finished). Neighborhood: Located in a small, safe, and friendly neighborhood that’s perfect for a relaxing getaway. Please note: The Fort Madison Toll Bridge, connecting Fort Madison, Iowa, and Nauvoo, Illinois, will be closed for maintenance from July 7th to August 22nd and again from September 15th to November 7th. Alternate Route: If you are planning to travel between Fort Madison and Nauvoo during these closure periods, you will need to find an alternate route. According to Visit Fort Madison, Iowa, alternative routes from Illinois include: Taking Highway 34 West to Burlington, Iowa, and then heading South on Highway 61 to Fort Madison. Taking Highway 136 West to Keokuk, Iowa, then heading North on Highway 218 and continuing on Highway 61 North to reach Fort Madison.
