Located in the heart of downtown Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. Your family will be centrally located and one block away from Bay Front Beach, Sweet Bean Vanillary Coffee shop, KTA Supermarket, CVS, Taco Bell, UFC Gym, a laundry mat, Lincoln Park Playground and Tennis courts, and walking distance to the Hilo Farmers Market. A 45min drive to the Volcano National Park or ~1hr drive to Mauna Kea. The space This is the upstairs unit (75 unit A), and it does require you to walk up a flight of 10 stairs. If you are renting a car, parking is available in the adjacent parking lot. It’s a fenced parking lot and entrance is from Kukukau street. Kukuau is a ONE WAY street. When driving on Kilauea ave, look for Panda Express - that is the easiest land mark to spot, and you’ll see a road sign the reads “Kukuau street” We are centrally located in downtown Hilo. Just a 45min drive to Hawaii Volcano National Park. Walking distance to various local businesses, restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores, Supermarket and farmers markets. You can also walk to the Hilo Bay Front beach or bus station in about 10mins. If you’d like to take a stroll you could get to Liliuokalani Japanese Garden and Coconut island in about 30mins. You would pass the historical Suisan Fish market on your way - be sure to check out Wailoa Grill located on the side of the fish market if you’re looking to try some local food. You can also drive to Botanical Gardens (15mins) and then Akaka falls (20mins) or if you’re looking to check out our black sand beaches you can drive down through Keaukaha (10mins) and stop at Carlsmith Beach Park, Onekahaka Tidepools, or Richardson’s beach. Perfect - central location, and distance to all the best spots that the Hilo side has to offer. We’ve also included a binder with useful information and all our favorite local spots / recommendations for you to review. Guest access Guests have full access to the upstairs unit and FREE self-parking lot (if needed). Designated parking spots for air b&b guests will be clearly marked. The parking lot is a privately owned space, and we rent our air b&b parking spaces. So please park only in those stalls. There is a private tent / training center that is leased on the parking lot property and for private club members only. For your safety please refrain from entering the tent. The parking lot and tent are set up with security cameras for everyone’s safety . Other things to note In Hawaii, it is customary to remove your shoes upon entering a home. We encourage you to embrace this practice while staying here with us and if you visit friends/family/colleagues who reside here in the islands. Please be mindful of tracking sand into our unit and dust off your shoes, slippers / flip flops, beach towels, and or beach accessories outside - before entering the house. We are a very family friendly unit, so feel free to let us know if you’re traveling with an infant or toddler. We will happily provide our unit with a bassinet, pack n play, swing or high chair (upon request )
