This Ohana features a sitting area, 2 bedrooms with luxurious queen beds, bathroom with shower and outdoor lanai. The space Property Highlights: - Two additional suites available for booking on the same property: Plumeria (1 bedroom suite with a king bed, outdoor shower, large sitting area) and Orchid (1 bedroom suite with a queen bed, bathroom, sitting area, and private lanai) Perfect if you are traveling with friends or family who want to stay close but enjoy their own private space. - Lush Grounds: Enjoy our diverse gardens with native plants and tropical fruit trees. You’re welcome to pick fruit in season! - Lanai: The lanai is open from 8 am - 8 pm for our guests to enjoy. You’ll find couches, a dining table, coffee machine, hot water, filtered water, and in the morning, coffee and tea are available. - Privacy & Convenience: Each suite offers a peaceful and private space, while the main residence on the property is where we, the owners, reside. We're here to assist you as needed, while respecting your privacy. - Location: Minutes away from Pahoa town and 30 minutes from Hilo, with access to local restaurants, farmers markets, and shops. Explore nearby black sand beaches, geothermal pools, and scenic hikes. Guest access Guests have convenient, on-site parking inside our gated property, close by your room. You'll enjoy quick access to your cottage and are welcome to explore the lush gardens and fruit trees on the property during your stay. If there's anything you need, we're happy to assist while respecting your privacy. Other things to note There are many beautiful places and bustling markets and stores to explore nearby, including: - Volcanoes National Park - Pohoiki Black Sand Beach - Lava Tree State Park - Maku’u Farmer's Market (Sundays) - Richardson Ocean Park - Rainbow Falls - Kaumana Lava Tube - Hilo Farmer’s Market (Wednesdays and Saturdays) - Hawai’i Tropical Botanical Garden - Akaka Falls Our property is fenced and gated. The front gate will be open upon your arrival. To keep out the feral pigs that roam the neighborhood, we ask our guests to please close the front gate after parking or leaving the property. Maximum occupancy is 5. Base nightly rate includes 4 guests. A fee of $20 per night applies for a 5th person. The sitting area has a single bed available for a 5th guest. The cottage has a private bathroom with an indoor shower (no bathtub) and a private lanai with a small table, chairs, and couch for relaxing. There are neighborhood cats that visit and can be found on the driveway and yard but are not allowed inside the suites or the lanai. No smoking, no vaping, no drugs!
