This newly constructed home in a private community has a fully contained 450 sq/ft. master bedroom, also used as an attached guest apartment, with a separate entrance and dedicated parking. The space This amazing house on the ocean has unobstructed 180-degree views of the ocean and sunrise with the sights and sounds of waves upon the rocky shore below. Enjoy spectacular views from this guest apartment, with its kitchenette, washer/dryer, pure well water, high-speed internet, and queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress. Perfect for a retreat, or well suited to host a couple for a peaceful stay to soak up the sun, sights and sounds of the ocean surf on the shoreline 120’ below. During your stay look for dolphins and experience whale watching (typically October to May.) The humpback whales are majestic when they breach, or pass by, sometimes with their calves. Pods of countless spinner dolphins often grace these shores year-round, providing an extraordinary opportunity to experience the natural wonders of Hawaii. Beyond the grounds of our property lies a world of captivating attractions. The Hawai‘i Tropical Bioreserve & Garden toward Hilo with its remarkable beauty, is a must-see. Right on the ocean, this botanical garden is hailed as one of the most extraordinary gardens in the world, boasting an impressive collection of tropical plants and rare flora that are only found here. For those seeking natural wonders, the nearby Akaka Falls is a 15-minute drive has a waterfall cascading 440 feet into a lush ravine on a loop trail, offering an unforgettable sight providing a unique opportunity to reconnect with nature. Also, just down the road is the island’s top adventure company, where you can zipline over Umauma River and falls, rappel down waterfalls, explore the area on horseback, or get down and dirty on an ATV, immersing yourself in exhilarating local experiences. There are several beaches, and swimming areas just a short distance away. It is a 5-minute walking distance to Waikaumalo Park for a quick dip in the stream, and Laupahoehoe Point, Kolekole Beach Park, Onomea Beach, and Richardson Beach are a short drive away. For other activities 10 minutes up the road, there is the Laupahoehoe community swimming pool Sunday through Wednesday from 9 am to noon / 1 pm - 3 pm and Pickleball on Mon, Wed, and Fri from 5-7 by the Papa’aloa Market. Thursday through Saturday enjoy live music at the Papa'aloa Cafe & Market with delicious local farm-to-table food. For the adventurous souls, Volcanoes National Park is an hour away, a testament to the island's volcanic origins. Guest access The apartment is attached to the main house, and you can contact your host by calling, texting, or coming to the front door. The passageway door to the rest of the house normally remains locked.
