Welcome to Snow Water Lodge, your idyllic R&R destination and lakefront home on the pristine shores of Otis Reservoir, the Berkshires’ best-kept secret. Spring/ Summer is for hiking, swimming, boating, shopping and dining at the best restaurants in the Berkshires. Accommodating up to 11 guests, our home is perfect for family fun, gathering with friends, or a couples retreat. We're excited for you to stay at our updated home and start your day off with breathtaking sunrises over Otis Reservoir! The space Situated directly on the lake, this home offers breathtaking sunrises every morning. Designed to maximize the views, the home’s three spacious levels provide an open, airy feel with oversized guest rooms, expansive living areas on both the main floor and basement, and a huge kitchen that serves as the heart of the home. This home is designed with comfort in mind—from the cozy furnishings to the inviting atmosphere, every detail is meant to help you relax and feel right at home. Every space is thoughtfully arranged to make the most of the lakefront setting, whether you're gathering in the main living room, unwinding downstairs, or enjoying the view from nearly every room. For those seeking a lake house that offers endless space and comfort in a prime location, Snow Water Lodge is the perfect retreat. Outdoor Features: • Step out the back door and walk to the shoreline of Otis Reservoir! • Enjoy two private docks perfect for sunbathing, swimming or simply relaxing lakeside. If you plan to bring a boat, please contact the host in advance for approval and to reserve the dock space. • Designated swimming area with custom built-in steps carved from stone that lead directly into the water, offering easy access for all ages. • The home is located in a quiet cove, providing safe and calm waters that are ideal for swimming and paddleboarding. • We provide foldable outdoor chairs for lounging lakeside. We also have a paddleboard (and life jackets) that guests are welcome to use. NOTE: Use of the paddleboard by renters is at your own risk! Indoor Features: • Sonos home sound system - there is a Sonos speaker in every room in the house (bedrooms and common areas). Easily connect through the Sonos app to control and play music collectively or individually. Kitchen & Dining: • A spacious, fully equipped kitchen featuring: o Extra large window directly facing the lake that offers incredible views while prepping meals, cooking and baking. o Six-burner restaurant-grade stove and restaurant-grade oven (conventional or convection). o Full-sized refrigerator and a full-sized freezer—perfect for a week’s worth of groceries. o Dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, double air fryer, and waffle maker. o Keurig coffee maker, traditional brewed coffee maker, and an espresso machine. o 2 large kitchen sinks for easy prep and cleanup. o Dining table that comfortably seats 8+ guests, with extra chairs available. o Fully stocked kitchen with plates, utensils, glassware, and cookware for your entire family or group. Bedrooms & Bathrooms: • Four extra large bedrooms, each with its own private en-suite bathroom. Hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. • Every bedroom has a Sonos speaker that is part of the Sonos home sound system. • Each bedroom is designed for maximum comfort and storage, featuring comfortable beds, bed linens, walk-in closets, dressers, and nightstands with an alarm clock. o Bedroom 1 – 1 King bed (canopy-style bed) o Bedroom 2 – 1 Queen bed + 2 Twin beds o Bedroom 3 – 1 Queen bed + 1 Twin bed o Bedroom 4 (Basement) – 4 Twin beds (1 bunk bed + 2 single twin beds) – perfect for a kid’s room Living Spaces & Additional Amenities: • Sunroom offering incredible views with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake. The sunroom has another large 6-person dining table with chairs, an outdoor style sofa, 2 swivel chairs, a small beanbag, and direct access to the outdoor deck as well as the indoor dining area. The sunroom is a perfect space for yoga, meditation, relaxation, kids’ playtime, and lakeside meals with a view that never gets old. • Living Room on the main floor is adjacent to the kitchen. Designed for gathering and connecting with family and friends. Features 2 comfortable lounging sofas, a leather reclining chair with an ottoman, a sitting bench, a large-screen TV with Sonos surround sound, and a wood burning fireplace for the winter. • Outdoor deck with guardrails is located just off the kitchen, living room and sunroom. Gas grill and outdoor seating offer uninterrupted lake views. • Laundry room with modern HE washing machine and dryer. Detergent (scented and scent-free) and dryer sheets provided. • Mudroom at the front door entrance to store dirty or wet shoes and/or personal items, ensuring the home remains clean. The mudroom closet also has an extra large garbage bin (with a lid to close) and recycling bin to store trash during your stay. • Multiple spacious closets throughout the home with hangers for convenient storage during your stay. Basement Entertainment & Additional Kitchen: o Basement Living Room: • A large flat screen TV with 2 cozy sofas—perfect for movie nights or unwinding after a day on the lake. • Ping pong table for indoor fun (paddles and ping pong balls supplied). • A game box stocked with board games for all ages and playing cards. o Additional Kitchen: • A fully equipped basement “in-law” kitchen with: -Additional full-sized refrigerator and freezer -Electric stove and oven -Microwave -Kitchen sink This home is the perfect retreat for families, groups of friends, and couples looking to fully enjoy Otis Reservoir and the Berkshires. Snow Water Lodge offers the ultimate luxury lakefront living experience during all 4 seasons, designed for maximum comfort, spaciousness, and unparalleled lake views. Guest access There is a spacious dock that guests can use for swimming, lounging, and relaxing! We have chairs for your convenience. If you would like to bring a motor boat, please get approval from the host first. The property includes a main house and a separate boathouse. These are separate distinct structures and are not connected. Guests have access to the main house but not the boathouse. The separate boathouse is not part of the rental. Please note: The boathouse is currently occupied, but it is fully separate from the main house with no shared spaces, ensuring your stay remains private and uninterrupted. A three-car garage is located at the top of the driveway upon arrival. While interior access is not permitted, you may park outside the garage. There may be one spot set aside for the owner’s use. Certain closets in the house are designated/marked as owner's closets and will remain locked. Guests will not have access to these closets. However, there are many spacious closets available for you to use throughout the house and in every bedroom. There are outdoor Nest cameras outside the home’s front entry door and outside the basement entry door. These do NOT record and are NOT monitored throughout guest’s stay. They are used primarily for owner's safety when the home is unoccupied. Beautiful small, charming town. Great for shopping, small boutiques, coffee shops, small art galleries, and cafes for lunch and dinner. - Great Barrington, MA: 30 minute drive. Butternut Ski Mountain). Great for a full day of walking around shopping after grabbing breakfast at GB eats. Plenty of local boutiques, bakeries, restaurants, and shops. - Stockbridge and West Stockbridge: 30minute drive - Tanglewood: 30-35 minute drive - Pittsfield: 45 minute drive - Otis Ridge: 6 minute drive. Small local ski mountain great for learning to ski! -Butternut: 30 minute drive. Ski mountain in Great Barrington, MA. -Catamount: 40 minute drive. Ski mountain in Hillsdale, NY. - Jiminy Peak: 1 hour drive.
