Tranquil Lake House Getaway on Onota Lake

Beautiful lake front house on 1.7 wooded acres on a very quiet end of Onota Lake. A long driveway takes you to this lovely 5 bedroom home equipped with all modern conveniences and comfort. A large lawn rolls to the lake which is on two sides of the house. There are two docks and small beach. Canoe, kayak, fish, and swim right from our docks and beach during the day and spend your evenings at local theater or Tanglewood. If you are out enjoying all the Berkshires have to offer during the day, this is a tranquil property to come back to at the end of the day. You will come home to a glimmering lake perfect for a sunset paddle. The barbecue and fire pit await. The house is in the middle of the Berkshires and just three miles from the city center yet feels more like a house in the woods. You will not be on top of your neighbors here. The property is wooded, offers privacy, quiet, and some space to stretch out. The darkness and quiet of the location offer you a fine night of sleep and starry skies. With two canoes, 5 kayaks and a stand-up paddleboard - everyone can choose their own fun whether it’s paddling around the lake, fishing, or drifting along on a floaty in the quiet coves with a good book in hand. There is a playset, lawn games and fire pit when you want to stay ashore. Board games, cable TV, and DVD’s are inside. The kitchen is well-stocked with all appliances and pots/pans, utensils, etc. Thanksgiving dinners are no problem in this kitchen. There is a fireplace in the living room. The dining room seats 10 comfortably and looks out on and across the lake. There are two bedrooms downstairs; one with two twin beds and the other with three bunks. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one with a king bed and two with queen beds. One of the queen bedrooms has an outdoor balcony and the king room has a sun porch with nice views of the lake. . Down by lake there is a screened in boat house with chairs to relax in.
