Welcome to Hale Walua. We love sharing our Ohana and aloha with fellow travelers. Your apartment has a private entrance, ocean view, gorgeous garden dining areas abundant with flowers and fruit, comfy queen bed, kitchenette, lounge room, wifi, Apple TV and full bath along with all the beach toys you'll need during your visit to Hawaii's Big Island. Beauty and peace abounds. Several world premier beaches are within a 10- 25 minute drive. Enjoy this fully furnished, 3 room suite with over 500 sq feet of living space. The bedroom has a really comfortable queen bed as well as a sitting area for checking out area excursions. The kitchenette has a small fridge, microwave, hot plate, French press coffee maker, hot water maker, and lots local hand crafted pottery for serving pieces. There's a table and chairs for dining in and several outside dining areas too. A gas grill is available for cooking up the day's catch while enjoying sunset with cold drinks. There's a cozy love seat for curling up with a great book after a lovely day exploring Big Island. We have wifi and Apple TV for when you want to chill or catch up on the outside world. The bathroom has a really pretty Italian glass waterfall sink, a big deep steeping tub and a Travertine shower. Guests are welcome to enjoy our expansive lawn and gardens. Flowers bloom year round and depending on the season, there's usually an abundance of fruit growing on our land: papayas, bananas, grapefruit, mangos, avocados, lemons and limes. We'll point out what's ripe and leave some in your ohana if we can. Our home has two separate entrances. We live next door and will welcome you when you arrive. You have on site parking and your quarters are completely private, however, we are happy to give advice on area attractions if wanted. The AirBnB listed price includes 15% Hawaii State taxes TA#169-106-6368-01R. We are both artists and our studio is on the property. Our open air studio is on site so feel free to take a peek and say hi as you pass by. Walua Road is a popular walking/biking trail with sweeping ocean views. It's an easy paved grade, and blocked to vehicular traffic in several areas. There's an abundance of old trees, tropical flowers, coffee and mac nut farms and friendly people. We really recommend renting a car so you can fully explore our beautiful island. The Keahole International Airport is 20 minutes from our home. Hilo Airport is 2 hours. We have 2 friendly, quiet dogs, Theodore and Daisy. They do not have access to the ohana, but may wag their tails for a pet if they sense you're a dog lover. We provide you with a stylish cooler for beach snacks, so please do not purchase a styrofoam cooler. The ocean is so beautiful, we try to reduce marine trash.
