Back in the late 1800”s Manhattan, MT got its start as a Brewery Town. The “Manhattan Brewery“ from Manhattan, NY set up to supply beer to the gold miners in SW Montana. The land was rich for agriculture and growing barley and the water was clean and plentiful for beer. Being on the railroad made the perfect location to start the business. The company brought in Dutch immigrants to grow the grains and many of those families still live in the community today. If you drive south on Churchill road you will see the quaint farms scattered along the countryside built by their forefathers. In 1903, Manhattan Brewing commissioned 4 stone houses to be built for their executives. Only 3 are still standing today after a 7.2 earthquake claimed one in 1927. This home was the largest of the four and was built for the head brewmaster. There is a lot of history in this home. We lovingly remodeled the entire house in 2019 and are proud and honored to share it with you. On the main floor there is a relaxing family room with fireplace, leather sofas and recliners to gather the whole family. Check out the nook for some family games and books! A large dining area that will seat 8 at the table and 3 more at the bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything to cook up a feast, including the Pit Boss smoker grill located just outside. Beyond the kitchen is a quiet siting area with 2 leather chairs and big windows to sip your morning coffee. The Main floor suite has an adjustable split king bed with memory foam mattresses, a spacious double-head tile shower and dual sink vanity. Also is a full laundry and half-bath. The back hallway has items for you to go outdoors! Including coolers, folding lawn chairs, and a cornhole game! Upstairs you will find a cozy hangout with sofa and bean bags. Two large bedrooms with queen and full beds and another full bathroom. Downstairs there are 2 more bedrooms with queen beds and another full bathroom. Outside in the backyard is a hot tub, gas fire pit, and smoker grill. Out the front enjoy Taylor Park! This beautiful city park has a 1/2 mile walking path, horseshoe pits, playground equipment, baseball fields, picnic areas, and in the winter time, an ice skating rink! If you venture down town Manhattan, you will Discover a quaint little grocery market, a couple watering holes, and a couple great restaurants called the Saloon for steaks and burgers and the Auto Inn for wood fired pizzas. The home is just a few minutes from the Gallatin River, about 10 Minutes to Yellowstone International Airport, and about 20 minutes to Bozeman.
