My apartment is located on the 9th floor of Ilikai Marina. Furnished bedroom with a king size bed and a very comfortable 20" queen size air mattress accommodates up to 4 guests. Extra linen provided for the air mattress. The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked to prepare full family meals. Beach gear (snorkel sets, beach towels, beach chairs, sand toys, cooler) provided so my guests don't have to buy. Everything is provided for your convenience. Free WIFI, 50" flat screen TV, cable shows, central air conditioning, and laundry facility on the 8th floor. The bathroom is stocked with hair dryer, body soap, shampoo and conditioner. Please bring your own tooth brush and tooth paste. This is a privately owned apartment so there's no maid service. You are in the middle of everything here. Hilton Hawaiian Village and the beach is a few minute walk away. The Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon is open to the public. Ala Moana Center is the largest outdoor mall in Hawaii and only a few minutes walking the other direction. You've got fantastic restaurants, night clubs, Ala Moana Beach Park, and Ala Wai Boat Harbor right out front. PARKING: You don't need a car if you only plan to stay around town and Waikiki. You really only need to rent a car for days you want to venture out to other parts of the island. There is no parking included with this apartment. You can buy a parking pass at the parking garage for $28 per day (as of Oct 2022). The gate attendant can assist you with that when you arrive. GETTING AROUND: This building is on Ala Moana Blvd which is a major road through Honolulu so bus lines, trolleys, taxis - all come by here constantly. Uber and Lyft are inexpensive options if you don't feel like walking and they can take you anywhere you need. Biki bike sharing stations are available all around. There's also car sharing service such as Turo and Drivehui. They have free parking stations and you can rent their cars for the hour or just for the day. I don't live on the property so you have 100% privacy, but I do live on the island. I generally just communicate through Airbnb website but you can reach me via phone or email as well. I always respond quickly (100% response rate on AirBNB) and I'm happy to answer questions or give assistance. Let me know if you need anything. Most of my guests don't get rental cars since everything in Waikiki is within walking distance. If you're planning on spending time at the beach, you don't need a car. Shopping and dining are all within walking distance, including Ala Moana Shopping Center. Uber/Lyft are readily available and our bus system in Honolulu is great. The bus stop is right around the corner. In addition, bike sharing station is also near by. There is no parking included with this apartment. There's a garage on premise at the building for $28/day - guests can pull up to the attendant at the garage and let him/her know you're guests at the building and how long you're staying. They will take care of it from there. If you plan to pull in late at night and leave early morning, you may want to ask about their flat rate for 10 hours (there are NO in/out privileges). There are metered parking along the harbor ($1/hr), although they're harder to find especially on weekends. If you prefer to rent a car, besides the traditional car rental company, you can check out car sharing services such as Drive Hui (local) or Turo. You can rent a car by the hours, day, etc. And, it would come with it's own dedicated free parking stalls which is very close to the building. Not only is it cheaper than a traditional car rental, by the time you include parking, it's a big savings. You have full run of the apartment - its not a shared space. 742 square foot, one bedroom apartment (with central air) and 2 lanais "balconies". Laundry facility located on the 8th floor. Designated smoking area on the 7th floor, Keyless entry - guests receive designated 4 digit code after booking for direct access to the condo (no check-in required). No swimming pool but Hilton Hawaiian's Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon is right around the corner and open to public.
