We are a locally owned youth hostel with a super social atmosphere and adventurous daily tours (free/ tip-based). Meet people from around the world, enjoy fun parties and social events at night, and have a meaningful trip to Maui filled with new connections and outdoor adventures. Our tours: Road to Hana (Tuesdays), a 12 mile hike through Haleakala (Saturdays) , Iao Valley (Monday), Makena Beach (Sunday), snorkeling (Thursday), and Paia and Baldwin beach (Fridays). The space Our common area is outdoors with a beautiful, plant-filled atmosphere and multiple cats. We have a hot tub, mango trees, a backyard with a smoking area and hammocks, and a small herb garden. Some of our dorm rooms have AC— please message if you want to be put in an air conditioned room and we will try to accommodate. Our tours are first come, first served, and participation is not guaranteed. Each tour has a minimum and maximum number of participants. You must sign up for the tours at the front desk the day before they are scheduled. Some tours require Park entry fees ($15 for National Parks, $5 for State Parks). A tip for your tour guide is expected. We have a large shared kitchen with cooking supplies, two stoves, three fridges, spices, a blender, and an air fryer. WASH YOUR DISHES, please :) Our breakfast is make-it-yourself and includes: pancake mix, chocolate chips, a waffle maker, and oatmeal. We also have coffee every morning. Breakfast is available from 7:30am to 10:30am. We rent locks for our dorm rooms for $2 cash. Beach towels are also $2 cash. Guest access Guests have access to outdoor and indoor common areas, a backyard with hammocks, a hot tub, and a large shared kitchen equipped with all cooking necessities (fridges, pots, stoves, air fryer, spices). Other things to note We have several rescue cats on property— they do not go in guest rooms but they will hangout outside and around the common area.
