Enveloped by the natural beauty of Chappaquiddick, WindSong is a spacious home with amazing water views looking out over conserved open land towards Pocha Pond and Nantucket Sound. The large kitchen and dining room are the heart of the home with space for family gatherings. The screened porch, with a dining table, porch swing and sitting area, is a favorite spot for outdoor meals, reading a book or taking a nap. It’s only a short bike or car ride to expansive Chappy beaches or back to Edgartown. The space We hope you will enjoy your stay at our home on Chappy. Designed by a family friend and built by the hands of many talented craftsmen, the house has been enjoyed by several generations since 2004. The main level features a well stocked kitchen that any cook will appreciate. The dining room and adjacent living room are great places to gather. A large screened in porch allows you to take in the beautiful views and the sounds of distant waves. Each of the bedrooms has its own full bath, three with queen beds and one with two twins. There is an elevator and the house is generally handicapped accessible though there are a couple of steps to get in. The basement has a TV room, laundry room, and half bath. There is cable and high-speed internet. Flower-filled gardens and meadows attract butterflies and the pond hosts frogs and dragonflies. The adjoining Land Bank property has easy access to trails and preserves the ocean view. For a day at the beach, you are a quick car or bike ride to East Beach, Katama Bay, or Wasque. Edgartown and its restaurants and shopping are a short ferry ride away. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house except for a few locked storage spaces. Other things to note Getting to the island is an adventure! Martha’s Vineyard is easily accessed by air or multiple ferry options. Once on the Vineyard, Chappy Ferry (no reservations needed) takes you from the town of Edgartown over to Chappaquiddick. There is no public transportation on Chappaquiddick so you will need a car. There are several places to rent cars on Martha’s Vineyard and you can bring a car on the ferry from Woods Hole but note that those ferry reservations must be booked far in advance.
