Tucked beneath a Cape Cod home in Brewster, The Ferny Nook is a light-filled studio surrounded by greenery. Wake to daylight through the windows, sip coffee on your private patio, and unwind in a cozy nook that feels tranquil and welcoming. Inside, you’ll find: A fully equipped kitchenette A comfortable queen bed A clean, private bathroom An easy bike ride to Cape Cod Bay beaches, it’s the perfect home base for adventure or simply relaxing in a green corner of Brewster. The space While it’s a lovely, private space, here are a few things to keep in mind: I live upstairs. The guest suite is on the ground level, and you may occasionally hear some gentle foot traffic or the water-heating furnace, which is located behind a closed door in the utility room on this floor. The neighborhood is generally quiet, though my one neighbor sometimes enjoy music or have friends over for a BBQ. Maggie, the neighbor’s older dog, may bark a bit when you arrive — she’s sweet and just doing her job. The location is one of the best things about staying here: mid-Cape, just over a mile from stunning bayside beaches, freshwater ponds, and the Cape Cod Rail Trail, with bike shops nearby if you want to cruise the trail. Snowy Owl Coffee Roasters (a local favorite!) is just around the corner and the famous ocean beaches of the Cape Cod National Seashore, plus day trips to Wellfleet or Provincetown are all within easy reach. Guest access Guests enter through a private entrance on the ground level of the house. This brings you into a shared laundry/utility room, which may be accessed by me from the interior stairway upstairs, but only if necessary. Feel free to use this as a space to kick off your shoes and park your outdoor gear. From there, you’ll enter your private, lockable studio, which includes a kitchenette, sleeping nook, and living/dining area. Your private bathroom is outside the studio, off the laundry room. You’ll also have access to a small patio and lawn area, and dedicated parking spaces in the sand/grass lot. The long dirt driveway is shared with one neighbor. Other things to note Private bathroom: it is accessed from the shared laundry room outside of the lockable unit. This is still within your largely private space. We try to keep laundry to days when we don't have guests so not to use it will you are here. No Oven: You do have a countertop electric 2-burner cooktop, microwave, and toaster. Maggie, the aging neighbor’s dog, is friendly but not contained and may want to check you out. Fireplace: Non-working fireplace (Do not use) or
