Maalaea is a central location on Maui convenient to getting to all parts of the island, and this rental has been very popular with visitors over the years. The space The condo is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condominium with a beautiful ocean view. We have furnished our unit so we feel at home during our stays on Maui, and we are sure you will feel comfortable as well. Many of our guests return every year for their vacation. The condo includes linen, bath towels, and beach towels. The fully-equipped kitchen contains a dishwasher, microwave, and washer/dryer. We have cooling ceiling fans throughout, and an air-conditioner in the living area. We never use the AC since the Hawaiian tradewinds that come through Maalaea keep the temperature just right. Cable TV and High-Speed Internet Access is available. The unit is on the ground floor, so entry/exit can be through the front door or the garden versus having to take elevators or stairs and a hallway every time you leave or return home. Islands Sands is oceanside on Maalaea Bay, and has been very popular with visitors over the years. Just some of the amenities that Island Sands offers are a location on a peaceful dead end street, a heated pool with gas BBQs and picnic tables, a beautiful garden setting, and reserved parking. The Island Sands' property is a non-smoking environment, including within all condos and on all lanais. Dedicated smokers must go to an allocated bench outside in a corner of the grounds. Guest access Keyless electronic door entry to condo. There is one assigned parking spot #4 in the Island Sands lot. There is additional parking on the street. Use of heated swimming pool and poolside BBQs for residents and guests only Other things to note - A 17.42% Hawaiian tax is included in the pricing of each rental. - A departure cleaning fee will be added to the rental cost - The condo and Island Sands grounds are a non-smoking facility. There is a bench located outside oceanside of the car wash as a smoking area. - Maalaea is a windy part of the island. While some visitors are bothered at times by the wind, the locals view this as a plus because we never have to use our air conditioning. - Bugs and geckos are sometimes visitors to the condo. This is part of life being on a tropical island. - No pets are allowed at the Island Sands condominiums - No parties are allowed in the unit. Quiet time is 10pm-8am. Island Sands has a mixture of vacation rentals and permanent residents. One has to be considerate of other residents with the noise you generate when out on the lanai, returning late at night, and or getting up early to go see sunrise on the volcano. - No daily maid service is included in your rental rate. House keeping services are available at additional cost. Starter supplies provided are not replenished.
