Description

Situated 15 miles south of Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii, Hale Aleki Kai borders Kealakekua State Park in Napo'opo'o Village. Walk 75 yards in one direction and you will be at the edge of the water and have a view of the Captain Cook Monument across the bay. Walk 75 yards in the other direction to historic Napo'opo'o Wharf where you can look across the harbor at Manini Beach Park and have an excellent place to enter the water for swimming and snorkeling. The space Hale Aleki Kai is a 3br/1ba 50s era beach house bordering historic Kealakekua Bay State Park. This charming older beach house property has lots of personality and history. Once owned by a prominent fishing family, the house is literally across the street from the ocean and steps away from great snorkeling. Spinner dolphins frequent the bay and whales are common seasonally. This is a place you come to escape the hustle and bustle of Kona. Come stay and relax. Hale Aleki Kai has three bedrooms and one full bath and sleeps up to 6 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen, TV, DVD player with a library of eclectic movies, free high speed WiFi and land line telephone for local and mainland calls. We also have several books, games, snorkel gear and boogie boards for guest use. The living area is completely upstairs and is not accessible by wheelchair. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water for guests to use. Linens and towels including beach towels are supplied. All guests have access to a downstairs laundry room which has a washing machine and coin-operated dryer. There is also a clothes line in the backyard for drying clothes and unless it is raining, things dry quite quickly. Hale Aleki Kai does not have air conditioning. Each room has a ceiling fan and we have found that with the ocean breezes this is sufficient. But if you are sensitive to the heat, please be aware of this. Please note that cell phone reception in this area varies by carrier. Verizon works quite well but AT&T does not. This is a non-smoking property. No pets. Not suitable for infants and young children. Other things to note Coqui frogs are in the area and can be quite loud at night. If you are a light sleeper, consider earplugs. Additional downstairs "garage" bathroom available. Extra charge for cleaning applies. Registration Details STVR-19-358673 NUC-19-1041 GE-088-382-3616-01 TA-088-382-3616-01
