Minutes from Salem! Two cozy bedrooms for up to 4 guests with a large luxurious bathroom including a claw-footed bathtub, all set in a historic home just minutes from Salem in Beverly on the beautiful North Shore just 18 miles north of Boston. This space was originally the "butler's quarters" over 100 years ago in this historic home. Your entrance is shared with us, however, we try not to use that entrance when guests are booked. Private bathroom and 2 bedrooms on two levels. Please be aware that our pool deck and yard are under construction. The guest space is not affected but the yard has some construction equipment and active projects. The pool is still open for use (June through September). It's not a heated pool, and the pool deck is undergoing renovations, so it's not a pristine area. That said, it's still a nice spot on a hot day, and our family swims every day in the summer months. Guests are welcome to swim, and pool towels are provided upon request. The first bedroom, with the queen bed, microwave, K-cup coffee maker, mini fridge are immediately to the right as you enter the house. The bathroom and bedroom are up the staircase at the top of the stairs. This entire space is for guest use. We try not to use that entrance of the house when guests are booked. Our home is on the commuter line to Boston and close to beautiful North Shore beaches and historic sites. Beaches within biking and driving distances, downtown, parks, culture, hiking. Comfy full size bed. We will have it all ready for you upon arrival. Great for all kinds of travelers! We're NOT a cannabis friendly accommodation. Although cannabis is medicinally and recreationally legal (within guidelines) in the state of Massachusetts, it's not federally legal in the United States. Kindly do not consume cannabis inside our home or on our property - this includes smoking dry flower, dabbing, vaping oil cartridges, edibles, tinctures and topicals. Our historic home is warm and welcoming. Free, secluded, driveway parking for 1-3 vehicles, patio and lawn space open for our shared use. Self serve coffee station and mini fridge in your room. Please be sure to clean up after yourself as we prefer to give you your privacy and don't plan to enter your space until after you check out. In the summer months enjoy the in ground pool! Be aware that there is no lifeguard on duty. No one under 18 years old may be in the pool area without a responsible adult. Please let us know if you're interested in swimming so we may be sure the space is prepared properly. We are always nearby if you need anything! We share the entrance so we may see each other coming and going. Please don't mind our belongings in the entrance and mud room - your space upstairs is all yours. This is our home and you are welcome here. Thank you! Quiet family area within walking/biking distance to parks, hikes, shops, restaurants, and beaches. MBTA commuter rail station just across the street. This will take you north towards Rockport, or south towards Boston, stopping in Salem and other towns on the way. Costs are $8-10 to get to Boston; kids 12 and under are free on the Commuter Rail and MBTA. Uber/Lyft usually can arrive within 10 minutes if needed. We want you to know that we’re doing our part to help our Airbnb guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before you check in, among all other regular cleaning. Cleaning checklist is available upon request. The house does not have built-in air conditioning but both bedrooms have a strong AC window unit. The Air Conditioner window unit is installed during the months of July and August. There is no AC in the bathroom. Enjoy your stay!
