Lake "Island" near Boston

This place is a hidden gem! It is a lake peninsula. Enjoy the amazing lifestyle on Lake Quinsigamond, while being only 10min from the center of Worcester. Even if you come to work in the area it feels like being on vacation. Lots of fun things all year around and only 40min to Boston, 1.5hr to Cape Cod beaches. This 2 bedroom A-frame house and 1 BDR cabin are on a 5 acres property (2,000 feet of shoreline). Very close to UMass hospital, grocery stores, gym, restaurants, route 20 and I-90. The space This place is a hidden gem!! It is an unique Airbnb opportunity. Five acres of land with total privacy with over 2,000 feet of shoreline on Flint Pond (Lake Quinsigamond) only for you. Enjoy the amazing lifestyle on the lake all-year around while being close to the city center. Even if you come to work in the area, it feels like being on vacation. Enjoy nature in a very quiet and private place. It has the cottage feeling with all amenities that you need (fast internet, cable TV, A/C, and central heating). This charming lakefront A-frame 2 bedroom house has a kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, living and dining areas are all open and with lake views. There is a second floor bedroom (with a queen size bed) reached over a spiral staircase with a full bathroom, a closet and a porch/deck facing the lake. An extra twin mattress is available. The second bedroom (with a queen size bed) is on ground level with a large glass window and door facing the lake. It has a large sofa, has heated floor and a full bath. In the living room there is a sofa-bed (queen size), a sofa, and a couch. We have a queen size air mattress available if needed. The house has two TVs (one cable TV and one internet TV). There is a 1 bedroom cabin close to the house (90 feet apart) also facing the lake that is great for children. It has two loft beds (use at own risk) and three extra twin size mattresses on the floor that can provide more sleeping accommodations if needed. The cabin is insulated and has heating and A/C (can be used all year round). It also has wi-fi signal, but it has no bathroom and no TV. It does not have bathroom. The gravel road is private (half a mile) and good for a run, to walk the dog or for cross-country skiing. You can enjoy your breakfast or BBQ outside in a gazebo on the waterfront or on one of the four picknick tables located in different areas that can provide you sun light or shade at any given time. The property has a large dock on the lake that has areas of shade and sunlight. Go for an early morning swim at sunrise, or cool down in the refreshing water on a hot summer day. Enjoy the evenings with a glass of wine on the dock or making s'mores at a campfire. You could also decide for an amazing sunset on the dock, or just relax or read a book in one of the several hammocks under the trees. This is perfect for a weekend getaway from your busy life or for an anniversary, birthday or family/friends reunion. We do have two other lake houses within 10min drive if you have a large group. Each can accommodate 10 people. The house is perfect for longer stays if you can work from home (home-office). There are lots of fun things to do all year around and it is only 40min to Boston (if you are coming for work or to attend concerts or sport events). 40min to Gillette Stadium and Warrior Ice Arena. You will be able to see the wildlife (including bald eagles, wild swans and geese, deers, a variety of small birds, bunnies and squirrels, beavers, foxes, etc) out of the window or from the porch. We have binoculars and telescope available. It is also very close to other parks like the Martha Deering Wildlife (hiking distance) or Swedish park (5min by car). Activities can be done all year around: water-sports (swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, tubing), fishing, bird viewing, hiking, mountain biking, soccer, badminton, tetherball, ninja course for kids. There is a floating island, a floating water mat, 3 kayaks and life jackets available. There is a floating jet ski dock and a powered boat lift. During the winter: ice skating, ice-fishing, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding, ice hockey on the lake, snowmobile. Skiing is 10min away (Shrewsbury ski hill) or 30min away (Wachusett ski resort), and there is an ice ring (Buffone Arena) 10min away. There is a local company (Go Sauna) that can rent and deliver a mobile sauna on a trailer. Three kayaks are available free of cost. Three Bicycles and three paddle boards are available for an extra fee. You can bring your jet ski (jet skis are allowed in the lake) or snowmobile. Boat lift use is upon an extra fee. There are two city boat ramps close by (The public boat ramp is located at : 37 Tamarack Ln, Shrewsbury), but if your boat is small you could use the private ramp in the property. It is close to the Regatta point community sailing where you can rent sail boats, kayaks and pedal boats, or participate in a sailing course during the summer. It is also close to the Worcester rowing club. Please, read the guidebook provided here for entertainment and restaurant recommendations. This peninsula used to be a small island a long time ago. It has a half-mile private driveway from the Cripper Hill road to the house. It has plenty of space for outdoor parking, playing sports on the lawn (there are two soccer goals and soccer ball). Great for both short and long-term rentals. Very close to UMass hospital (10min drive), grocery stores (Whole Foods, Market Basket, Trader-Joe's, Starbucks, CVS), gym, Polar Park, Ice skating ring, skiing hill, and many different restaurants. Few minutes to route 20 and I-90. It is available all-year-round. Snow plowing will be available during the winter months (included on the rental price).
