The master bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a full bed, the loft has a full size futon. It is peacefully tucked away at the end of a road with only three other houses on it. It has easy access to beaches, bike paths and walking trails. Enjoy some family time in the wooded backyard grilling or relaxing with an outdoor shower or napping in the hammock after a day at the beach. This post and beam house was built by the owner for friends family to enjoy during the summer. The space is open and inviting with a converted barn feel. Five people can fit comfortably in this lovely space. Two small bedrooms are on the first floor, one with a full sized bed, and one with a full. A handmade ships ladder leads up to the full sized loft upstairs. The loft has a new futon and is perfect for reading and relaxing with a good book, or for extra guests, or older children. The house is set back in the woods, down a short dirt road. The back yard has a lovely deck with ample seating, a shaded yard, gass and charcoal grill and rope hammock, the perfect spot to relax after a day at the beach or in town. Guest will have access to the entire house and yard, including the basement with washer and dryer. The owners of this property occupy the first house on the road year round and the other two homes on the road are occupied seasonally. Elaine is always available if needed, and is happy to provide advice about the island. West Tisbury is located on the south side of the island and is more rural than some of the other towns. Only a couple miles away the closest beach is Long Point Wildlife refuge. West Tisbury also has a private town beach on the north shore that weekly passes can be purchased for. A car is recommended. The island bus route runs past the road on the Edgartown West Tisbury Road, and runs often. The bike path is located at the end of the road, and connects to many of the island towns. Guest access Guest will have access to the entire house and yard, including a deck with ample seating, a hammock in the summer months, outdoor shower and basement with washer and dryer. Other things to note The house is in the woods and very quiet. Window AC is installed in the bedrooms from July through August. No smoking in the house. Well behaved dogs over one year old are permitted upon request. Please let us know before bringing a dog. Cats and other pets are not allowed.
