Redwood Retreat, luxury fishing cabin, was built in the 1970's by Mr. David Galloway. It is a one of a kind unique design being primarily constructed with Redwood imported from California. Situated on the Cane River, the cabin offers a large sun room, floating boat dock and covered boat house. The setting makes it a perfect getaway for families, fisherman and boaters alike. The space The gated property is 1.6 acres, river front in Point Place development. Large 'U" shaped driveway lined with Magnolia, Cypress and Pecan trees. There are 3 buildings on the property. You will have access to Redwood Retreat which is the main house. There is also a shared brick covered porch with roll up screen walls. On the Cane River, is the boat house and a floating dock. There is boat launch access at the Marina approximately 1/2 mile away on Patrick Road. There is a floating boat deck outside the main house and a boat house situated between the main house and guest house. Both are available for use, arrangements should be made with owner prior to your arrival. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house surrounding yard and the river. Other things to note This house was built by the previous owner in 1974! Excellent construction and design! However, it is 50 years old and has its quirks that are being worked out. The house has creaking and makes its presence known. It is safe so do not be alarmed if you hear creaking on the stairs or in any other part of the home. It has been throughly inspected and completely safe. Thermostat is Nest.
