Hale Kuikahi Oceanfront Retreat hosts up to 8 guests in airconditioned comfort and style. The space Step onto the grounds of our oceanfront botanical garden retreat - Hale Kuikahi! Located in the quiet Paukaa area of Hilo just above famed Honolii surf beach, Hale Kuikahi boasts a private botanical garden walk onsite. Enjoy sweeping oceanfront views from almost every room in the house. The open kitchen, dining area and living room in the center of the house are accented by large windows and view doors to the ocean. The lanai boasts an overhanging section where you feel like you're on the prow of an ocean liner with nothing but coastline and ocean in your view! The kitchen is fully outfitted for cooking including a walk-in pantry. There are four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The primary suite sits on the far side of the house for privacy. It has a private bathroom with walk-in slate tiled shower, a private door to the oceanfront lanai, a generous king sized bed and lots of closet space. On the other side of the house are three more bedrooms. Bedroom 2 has a king sized bed and large picture widow overlooking the ocean and close access to a full bathroom. Bedroom 3 is a two room suite with a queen sized bed on one side and two twin beds on the other side. Bedroom 4 has a king sized bed, private door to the oceanfront lanai and close access to a full bathroom. In total this wing of the house has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. There is a centrally located laundry room for your use. NOTE: the garage is not available for guest use. There are at least 2 parking spaces for guests inside this gated property. The most unique feature of Hale Kuikahi is the walking path which leads you down the pali (cliff) and around the property. Admire tropical plants and several meditative garden statues. We maintain this area with great care and hope you will find a retreat from the world in our jungle garden. Hilo, Hawaii is still a quiet plantation era town with rich culture and hidden adventures. We provide a printed guide book in the house detailing our favorite restaurants and things to do.
